Excellent value for an overnight stopover. The room was on the small side but was clean and ok for 1 night. Breakfast was good value and more than adequate. The hotel is basic but is generally very clean and there is plenty of free parking. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby which are handy for drinks and snacks as there is only a vending machine for when the restaurant is closed. There is a McDonalds across the road and a restaurant a bit further away which we drove to as the road was not the safest to walk along.

Great value for money

Haven't stayed in a Ibis budget for a while.  The room was OK with a few minor faults but the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.  The hotel is just outside Givet and there is a big Intermarche opposite.  We only stayed one night on our way to Germany but Givet looked a nice place on the river, and I wish we had had perhaps another night to spend a day there.
Breakfast was excellent - better that they used to be.

Nice modern simple predictable friendly Ibis.  What’s more to say ?

Easy to find, reception was still open close to midnight on a Sunday (though there’s a code system to handle very late arrivals too).  Clean rooms, modern fittings.  Large car park on site.

No shower door so you need to take care when showering; plastic under sheet so a bit sweaty; rather basic breakfast but adequate.

Predictable Ibis !

We stayed 1 night in this Ibis. We booked it, because Givet was the starting point of our bicycle trip Trans-Ardennes, La Meuse à Vélo, and we needed a place where we could park our car for several days. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. The hotel has a big parking and they adviced us to park our car after the hotel, so you could not see him from the street. We were able to park our bicycles in a safe place too. It is a typical Ibis budget hotel, so do not expect any luxuary, but that you know in advance. The room is the standard Ibis budget room, and breakfast buffet is basic, but enough for the price you pay. Room was quiet and clean. Lidl is next to the hotel. Mc Donalds is close too, but not far from the Mc Donalds is an Eastern Buffet restaurant, Le Royal Givet. For a fixed price, you can eat as much as you like from the buffet. It is not gastronimic, but good for the price. For better food, go to Givet! It is about 1.5 km to the town center and to the bicycle route la Meuse à Vélo.

Bicycle trip

Everything is good except - like most Ibis Budgets - there is only one coffee machine. Result - constant queueing at breakfast time! In this case at Givet the machine broke down for around 15 minutes and there was no alternative. Bring back the good old coffee jug! 

One coffee machne is not enough!

Paid €46 would gladly pay €40. Clean(apart from toilet rim) right next to supermarket & petrol. 20 min walk into Givet which is a lovely place. If you like bread for breakfast (€7) then you'll be in bread heaven. Nip to supermarket & buy something you can heat up in the microwave ( you will have to ask to use a knife fork spoon bowl) if you aint got your own. Would stay there again.

Luxembourg bike trip 2018

We have never stayed in an Ibis Budget and I don't think we will again. As we approached both dustbins outside the hotel were full and spilling out (they were the same the next day). We booked a family room which was very large and sparse. We paid for breakfast which was basic, cereal, yogurt, pastry and coffee which was fine. 
The hotel is next to a Lidl and McDonalds in a very small shopping area. Outside the hotel is free parking.
The hotel is on the out skirts of Givet which is a charming small town on the river. We used this hotel as a stop off point on our journey but now I know what Givet is like I would stay in town if we passed again. Had a great pizza in Casa Mia in a courtyard area,

Outside town

It was cheep in comparison with other places in the region and it is also on a good location.

We have arrived in the middle of the night and they do not have 24 hours open desk, but you can check in at the machine.
Room that we got was smelling very bad so in the morning we have asked for another room and we got one, but it was the same, again it was smelling very bad. Rooms are very basic with few hangs and bed and toilet.
Shower was not cleaned very good (believe me I am not very picky).
The stairs handrail were with lots of dust.
We didn't took breakfast in the hotel, so I can't say how good it was.

Essential hotel, well located but sadly very poor level of cleanliness
Toilet was smelly, no towel at our arrival and room was dusty, seemed like the room hadn’t been prepared/cleaned for new customer. Ladies at the reception were kind and helpful though.

Very essential, wouldn’t go back

Hotel in need of a refurbishment, but OK for one night. You get what you pay for. Rooms are the standard IBIS Budget style, Rooms were not the cleanest. There is parking outside the hotel. The hotel is located on the outskirt of Givet, which is a pretty town, There are supermarkets and Mc Donalds within walking distance of the hotel.
