The Villa is just a few minutes with the car from the center of Gordes.
We had the sport room which was very large and quiet comfortable.
The room also has a separate walk in shower and a small garden to go with it.

The garden has plenty of shade and the pool is very refreshing.

The continental breakfast is served and very fresh and you can help yourself to tea or coffee.

The hosts are extremely helpful with tips of where to go and see.

We very much enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it.

Great property with beautiful gardens. Huge rooms. Really peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were really kind, friendly, present but discreet and helpful. We are not familiar with bed and breakfast, we usually stay in bigger properties with a lot of services etc... so we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were not disappointed. Thank you for this beautiful stay! 

Peaceful Oasis

During our road trip in July 2020 and 6 different villa stays, Villa Hautvallon was the one I was the most looking forward to. (And also, the most expensive BY FAR). Unfortunately it was also the only one we were disappointed with at the end of our holiday. 

We were made to feel like an imposition and unwelcome during our entire stay.  Some examples: 1. One night (at 9:45pm) my husband and I were not talking & working remotely/ writing emails in a common space (which was close to our room where our daughter was sleeping because our baby monitor couldn't reach far) and the host asked us to leave the common space.   2. Our daughter napped mid day, which meant we had to feed her lunch at 3pm. I had went to the grocery store to pick up a few items hoping to eat them at the gorgeous villa. But then we were told we were not allowed to bring outside food in.  Although they "let us do it this one time", we felt uncomfortable the entire time. 

The actual villa & grounds were gorgeous, but for how expensive it was, I would have hoped we could use it more.  

Unfortunately our memories of this villa will be of how the hosts made us feel, which was not welcome.

Made to feel like an interference

Simply perfect. Everything about this Villa is stunning. The grounds are immaculate. The pool is perfect. The breakfast was divine. The service was friendly and helpful. Clearly this is a family who love what they do. A 10min walk (partly along a dirt track) into the main town (we used a phone torch later in the evening!). Absolutely the perfect base to explore this beautiful part of France. 

Beautiful sanctuary in the heart of Provence

This review is long overdue.  We had the most relaxing stay in May 2018. If I ever get the chance to travel through this area again, I would drive out of my way to stay here! We initially had a hard time finding it, since it’s not directly on the main road and it is gated. However, it’s an easy 5-10 minute walk through trails if you decide to eat dinner in Gordes. We stayed in one of their suites for 2 days. It was complete luxury! Many thanks for the outstanding hospitality!

Long Overdue 

We stayed at Villa Hautvallon for 4 days and what a pleasure it was. This family run hotel caters to all your needs and exhibits the beauty of Gordes in the architecture and beautiful interior decorations.

Our hosts catered to all our needs and gave us the best advice for day trips to all the best villages, shows and restaurants in the area and assisted us in making bookings as well.

The grounds are truly astounding with a beautiful pool, lawns and breakfast next to the pool in the breakfast room.

We were even upgraded to a beautiful room with terrace on the ground floor next to the pool, perfect.

We will definitely return when we can and thank you our great hosts.

Perfect stay

Being in Villa Hautvallon, is like the very familiar feeling of being at home very welcomed, incredibly comfortable, it is like you are the center of the world and everything simply twirls around you. 

The smell of the villa is nothing to be explained, but should be experienced, a home surrounded by breathtaking lavenders, the smell of the freshly baked cakes and coffee coming from the pool house.. 

It is located in the most beautiful town in Province, yet hidden from all the hectic traffic and noises caused by us, the tourists.. The antics and every well thought details of the villa simply amazes you.. 

But the most important part of this experience is the family who owns this beautiful home, they welcome you, take care of you just like you are family.. And the amazing tips on how to experience Provence and its hidden gems makes your holiday unforgettable.. Don’t miss this chance..

Simply Perfect.. Just the way it is..

I spent months searching for the perfect place to stay in Provence. Let me save you that trouble: THIS IS IT!!! The home is beautiful and the owners are lovely hosts. You will love the beautiful architecture and antique furnishings. Pierre greeted us in the driveway and was so helpful all week with recommendations of things to do in the area. The service and breakfasts were perfect. We will certainly make Villa Hautvallon an annual destination! 

Best week ever!

If you want luxury you will get it at the Villa Hautvallon.  From the moment we arrived until leaving we were treated royally.  Peace and calm personified.  Totally relaxing by the pool and surrounded by beautiful well cared for gardens.  We had the option of a private chef.  We took up this option and the food and service was superb..  The family who own the Villa were thoughtful and attentive.
