Very comfortable hotel, originally a water mill, with large rooms and balconies in a tranquil setting, overlooking a lake and spacious grounds.  At one end of the lake is the 'source bleue', and all their water is drawn from this, including to make their own artisan beer.  Dinner and breakfast are served outside on a large terrace in good weather, or in the high-ceilinged dining hall. Dinner was excellent, with a good choice of home-prepared food, and a good wine list (plus their own beer!).  Breakfast included cereal, croissants and pastries, ham and cheese and eggs, all freshly made.  We would thoroughly recommend it for an overnight or longer stay.

Peaceful surroundings and delicious dinner

Positives - beautiful grounds and rooms. Lovely situation with Lake and if your a dog lover the hotel accepts them. 

Negatives. 
Set evening meal at 50€ was more style over substance and each course took over an hour to serve.  When mentioned to waiter at 11.00 pm (we sat at 8pm) that we hadn’t been given menu for dessert and the time each course took - no apology given except an excuse that he usually worked in kitchen.  Lady who was helping initially seem stressed and at one point when clearing away plate handled bread roll and placed back in front of us on placemat!   Not exactly covid aware!!!   
Dining room was also very dusty as was bedroom.  

Appreciate covid had affected businesses globally and hope that this was just a one off. 

Also emailed hotel to advise I may have left AirPods and could they check - no surprise not to have received a reply.

Disappointing 2nd visit.

We stayed at La Source Bleue overnight en route to The Alps and enjoyed the comfortable rooms and peaceful location.The hotel grounds were truly lovely-beautiful clear lake full of trout and of course the stunning blue source to be discovered.We had an excellent set dinner on the terrace-limited but well thought out choices and perfectly presented although the meal was made a bit stressful by the frequent presence of several wasps(not that this was the hotel’s fault).Service was relaxed and friendly and we were warmly greeted by the owner,Natalie.
The only disappointment was breakfast the next morning.We had been asked what time we would like breakfast and had asked for 8.30am which was agreed.It was therefore very disappointing to be told there were no more scrambled eggs available on the buffet when they had run out!The rest of the breakfast was really good with plenty of pastries, cold meats,cheeses,fresh fruit and yoghurts as well as freshly squeezed orange juice but they did let themselves down by refusing to replenish the eggs when requested.This was something highlighted by another reviewer a few years ago and sadly has not been rectified.Given the slightly expensive breakfast charge-16€ -this was not acceptable.A shame as everything else was great!

Magical setting in peaceful location

Stayed here on the last night of a recent road trip.  The hotel is easy to find and is in a very quiet location.  The owners and staff aver very friendly and welcoming.  The rooms are very large, very clean, well appointed and very, very quiet.  Our room had a nice terrace overlooking a large pond.

Wonderful hotel.

We stayed here as a stop over on our way to Morzine.  Wish we'd stayed longer.  Our room was perfect in every way, large enough for us as well as our dog.  The grounds and small lake are a delight to walk around, very well kept.  It was very peaceful and quiet.  There were a couple of old refurbished carriages in the grounds, I would definitely book one of those next time.  The dinner was perfect, very well cooked and presented.  We sat in a lovely quirky dining room, lots of different styles mixed together but it worked.  We were given a menu for breakfast the evening before and were asked what time we would like it delivered to our room.  It arrived on time, very well put together, plenty of coffee, well cooked scrambled eggs and delicious smoked salmon.  We chose to eat in our room but we did have a table on our patio.  There's a lovely resident dog, very docile and well behaved.  The whole place was a delight,  very clean and welcoming.  Looking forward to our next stay.

Amazing hotel

This hotel is situated in a lovely location. We were lucky enough to arrive on a beautiful day when the blue source in the lake looked magical. Our room was very comfortable overlooking the lake and woodland. The restaurant has only one menu with two choices for each course. The food was acceptable but my husband ‘s lamb was tough. The service was slow but fortunately we were able to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings  in the warm weather.

Beautiful location comfortable hotel.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds, with a spring and a pond with surprisingly blue-green water. Amazingly beautiful . The building is an old water mill, and there is a little cascade. Charming. But…we were really disappointed. We stayed in the separate little house which is a duplex, nicely done, even if the furniture is a bit outdated , but frankly it was dirty and dusty. In front of our little house was a nice terrace, but with dirty furniture; we mentioned it the first day upon arrival but the 2nd and 3rd day still no cleaning. In the end we took a bathroom towel to clean it ourselves so that we could enjoy our terrace .
We had a dinner in their restaurant , which was not bad, but did not reach the gastronomic level we expected. In France for 45€, you can usually get a superb dinner. The restaurant interior is old fashioned, with worn chairs. The service is friendly but not very professional. The cheeses were just ok, but the type you can just go and buy in the supermarket. 
And then the breakfast , which was served in a basket in our room. Why?? No real table to comfortably eat it, with cardboard plates (!), and cardboard cups for the orange juice.the eggs were not boiled enough, as a fruit we received 1 apple, until the 2nd day we asked for more fruit.
Not to mention the WiFi that only works half of the time, a bit.
So all in all, the place and surroundings have everything to make a perfect holiday spot, but there seems to be a sort of laissez-aller. Even if the owner is a friendly lady, this general lack of attention is killing the place and the experience

Beautiful surroundings but so disappointing

I've stayed here before and the rooms are great but we arrived and were met by a massive St Bernard type dog outside. Now I'm a dog lover so no problem but this dog was not looked after..was filthy and had large lumps of poo stuck all over it's back end...not good.

So checked in and all good...went for a wander to the lake....oh dear..dog poo all over the meadow...nasty! I don't mean a bit..i mean like walking in a minefield!

So off to dinner..sat outside..lovely...of dear..lumps of dog poo on the gravel all around our table!

Great nights sleep and the usual marvelous brekkie.

But no sadly i won't go back...the amount of dog poo all over was jusy too much for me to stand..and i have two dogs myself!!!

Such a shame.

Great rooms but dog poo outside

We arrive early to book into the hotel and were advised that our room would be available in 40 minutes, Still 2 hours before the published time.
The rooms are very good with a walk in shower and seperate toilet.
The rooms are comfortable and have a good balcony with chairs and loungers.
Breakfasts are amongst the best that you will get in France served in the old mill.
Evening meals are very good if a little expensive. The cheapest menu is 35 euros has only one choice of starters, which is very good, and 2 choices of the main course. Unfortunately this menu does not change so if you are staying more than one night you have to have the same starter each night.
The location is beautiful set in a park with a small lake and the source flowing into it. Next to the hotel is a canal and the river Marne where we saw 3 kingfishers.
We will return in the future but for on one night stays.

Back again

this is a hotel not to be missed - tranquility, spotless rooms to a high standard and in an equisite location.

We stopped for a night on the way back forom the south of france and we will return.
