The small town is near a historic site I wished to visit. St Benoit was a happy choice: inexpensive, pleasant staff (not much English, though), and two really attractive dining rooms (adjacent, in different tones), with menu du jour (only €12) or a la carte; daily choice was good and quite inexpensive; breakfast also OK (not included in room cost). I had a second floor, large corner room, with good lighting and ventilation (no aircon but heater for the winter); even a small view of the nearby river; shops fairly handy. Elevator works well. Parking is in two streets – the hotel is on a corner (is that why they advertise 'free parking'?). . Very good value; I’d come here again.
