Small B&B in a beautiful French town house, with two en-suite rooms. The hosts, Christelle and Francois are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The place is spottlesly clean, the beds are comfortable and the wifi works. The breakfast is excellent with homemade jams and pastries. Excellent place to start or finish a European tour in a car or motorbike as there is secure car paring. Hope to be back soon!

Perfect place to stay near Calais

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Le Sophora and were made to feel extremely welcome by Christelle.

The house is old and charming with very comfortable rooms ensuring a good night's sleep after a long drive. 

The large garden and free off road parking is a bonus and the breakfast is excellent with homemade pastries, preserves and honey produced by Christelles own bees!

Can highly recommend and we will definitely be returning

This was our second stay this year, the house is beautiful  and full of character . There is a large garden at the back of the house where you can park. A very good breakfast is provided with homemade jams and yogurts.
Christelle is a charming host.

A memorable stay. Beautiful building and gardens. Lovely owners. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was out of this world with all homemade pastries, preserves and yoghurts.
Very stylish decor. We have stayed twice and will stay again if possible.
10minute drive from the Euro Tunnel and in a nice village.

Excellent

My husband and I stayed for one night during our travelling around northern France . The hotel was absolutely stunning ( see pics ) Typically French in style and tastefully done . The actual building has history , built in the 19th century , owned by a Dr who was in the army , he brought to the gardens a “ Pagoda tree” from China ... it is only one of two that are listed in France ( as we have listed building in Britain ) . Our lovely host keeps her own chickens , makes honey from her hives and grows veg etc . ......... We had b& b , VERY reasonably priced . After a very comfortable night in the beautiful bedroom we went down for breakfast ( at a time chosen by us )! My husband was craving a cooked breakfast .... it actually was THE nicest continental one we have EVER  tasted !!! Croissants , breads , home made honey and jam , cheeses and a hot apple crumble type dish , coffee and tea ......suberb ..... Cannot say anything negative about this beautiful gem , ..... just wished we’d have stayed for longer !!!!!

Fabulous In every way

We picked Guines for its convenience to the Tunnel terminal, & found the Sophora was a good choice. The house is a mansion, there is a large rear garden where you can park  safely, and the internal furnishings & decorations in the spacious rooms are elegantly old-fashioned (but the plumbing is bang up to date). Our hosts, who have recently taken over the property, were cordial & welcoming, & provided an ample breakfast in the morning.  Our bed was highly comfortable, the surroundings calm & tranquil. Recommended.

A splendid interior

Unexpected delight bed and breakfast guest house, parking safe and secure, bedrooms decent, but my tip don’t stop in spa bath bedroom, the other one is better! Great hosts, garden is nice, breakfast decent, bought  some honey which they produce from their owns bees in the garden. House has lots of old character. One thing I would say town was a little dead! Was hoping to go for drink in local bars but couldn’t find one open.
