This is a very quirky little place to stay and very central so ideal for being in the heart of things. Beware the staircases are very steep and very narrow so not for the faint hearted or less mobile, although there is a ground floor room. We were right at the top of the building and the room was lovely, well decorated with a tea tray.  The shower and loo is down a set of stairs and is very small but we managed! The owner (who was very nice) wanted paying in cash which we found a bit strange in these covid times and we thought we would be paying by contactless, so actually had to bother to go to a machine and get out some cash, with a very poor exchange rate!!!! The views from the top floor windows were fab and we did really enjoy our two nights here.

Quirky central place to stay.

Only stayed 2 nights but it was a comfortable stay, close to the centre of town.  Although nicely decorated in rustic style, it lacked some basic necessities like a waste bin in the bedroom,  hooks for coats/ dressing gowns, a mirror other than the one in the bathroom. The kettle had to be boiled standing on the floor until we moved the table.  Just a few little points , but overall the owner was helpful and friendly and the town amazing. 
One other point would be that,without breakfast provided, it's a bit overpriced.
(P.S. Be careful on the stairs! Not suitable for anyone with any mobility problems )

Nice but lacking some essentials.

Three of us stayed at this guest house in the heart of Honfleur, two in the main buiding and one in the annexe about 100yds away.
The rooms are tastefully and individually furnished and decorated and the beds are very comfortable.. The showers are fine but maybe a trifle challenging for anyone of larger stature.  I was delighted to find a bath in the annexe but disappointed the next morning when there was no plug to be found.

A pleasant stay

We stayed one night at the ANNEX room over looking the beautiful harbor. As previously mentioned, Dani the inn keeper, have to be called to meet us at the main inn. From there she took us to the annex unit which is actually a room on the third floor not far from the main inn. Dani actually live on the second floor. Tight, steep, spiral stairs took us to the room. I am sure it would be pretty hard for those with large suitcases to climb the stairs. The room is just perfect with a great view of the harbor. Good size room with good firm bed and a large flat screen TV. Bath room was also specious with good water pressure. Make sure you have ear plugs as the late night restaurant crowd below can be pretty loud. Free parking was a challenge to find....we ended up just parking at the pay parking. Over all we were very happy with the accommodation with the especially view.

A room with a harbor view

Strange hotel, owner has to be called  on her phone to come and let you in. Danielle arrived and showed our room, informing she kept room 1 as it would be easier as we had our Boxer dog with us, and it was on the ground floor.
The room was comfortable with an excellent bed (slept well).  Shower was brilliant and we enjoyed our stay,  The most pleasant thing was when Danielle said we did not have vacate the room till midday and to just lave the key on the board and close the front door.

We also stayed here on our return journey.

Small and Convienent

We first went to the bois Normande a couple of years ago and found it delightful.  The location couldn't be better in the heart of Historic Honfleur and the ground floor room and en-suite bathroom were beautifully appointed.  However on our latest trip we arrived to find that we were in an attic room on the third floor, and it is here that potential guests should take care.  Access to the attic on the third floor is by a narrow and steep spiral staircase on which the treads are narrow and of varying width and the risers also vary in height.  Also there is no handrail so descent is especially tricky. It's what you would expect of an old building but in my view this access is totally unsuitable for people with even minor mobility problems or people who are physically big.  Furthermore the bathroom which serves the attic room is on the floor below and is tiny.  Sitting on the toilet my nose was only a few inches from the bathroom wall and my knees were pressed hard up against it.  Again it really isn't suitable for large people or people with limited mobility.  A final observation.  In the event of fire the upper floors in my view are unacceptably dangerous.  The only means of escape is the spiral staircase which is tricky to descend and in fact it would in all probability be impossible to use since it would tend to act as a chimney drawing fire and smoke to the upper rooms. In summary the Bois au Normande is a delight but I would only return if the ground floor were available.  PS the wi-fi does not reach the top floor, I didn't test the other floors.
