We were very lucky to have been able to stay in La Mexicaine for 11 nights.  Kristof & Heidi will try their utmost best to please all their guests.  Very clean rooms, plenty of choice for breakfast.  You can also book dinner 4x per week, very convenient and better than some of the restaurants we tried in the surroundings, Kristof is a master chef!
You can get plenty of tips for walks or cycle tours, or things that are worth visiting.
We can only warmly recommend La Mexicaine!  You rock, Heidi & Kristof!

Superb stay

We stayed in the self-catering 'Larch' apartment at La Mexicaine in Jausiers for a week in April 2015, and we can highly recommend it. The accommodation is clean and well equipped, there's a secure bike lock-up and a nice garden. Our hosts were really helpful and they gave good advice on local bike rides. The internet connection is really fast, too. Jausiers was a lovely base to explore the mountainous area, and you can hike in the mountains without the need to drive anywhere.

Lovely gite in a beautiful spot

Stayed here for one night after cycling over the hill. Lovely and clean and the family are very friendly and helpful. 
We intend on coming back next year for a week so that we can use the Bed and Breakfast as a base for other cols in the area. Breakfast was very tasty and dinner the night before was made by us in the kitchen down stairs. Couldn't be better. 

Lovely place to stay.

We were a party of 7--mixed ages and gender--attempting the Tour de Grande Alpes. Our hosts, Christophe and Heidi. are multi-ligual cycling enthusiats themselves. Their depth of local knowldege, language, advice for travellers and friendliness was exceptional.
We enjoyed our stay in this historic building (with modern touches) particularly enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, comfortable lounge with TV and WiFi, and the fridge full of modestly priced beer and continental lagers--paid for by and honesty box. 
Help and advice was plentiful including advice with regard to  local places to eat, help with tools for a quick vehicle repair and good advice for the traveller abroad.
Buffet breakfast was excellent--for cyclists this is important--a real family affair with our hosts eating with us and providing lots of food, good coffee and fine conversation.
We all left with fond memories of our stay.

Cycling from England

Lovely hosts(Heidi and Kristof), great location and accommodation, wonderful views of surrounding mountains - thoroughly recommend.
Stopped here whilst cycling the Grand Route des Alpes, just 100 metres off the main road but quiet location and close to all facilities. Nice town and beautiful swimming lake within easy walking distance or you can relax in the large garden.
Good breakfast to set us on our way for the Cime de la Bonette.
