This is a lovely family run hotel. The staff are friendly and it is clean and comfortable. It is quite dated in some ways but it had everything we needed. My husband and I and the three very young children received a warm greeting. I would recommend. 

Family friendly 

This is a great, clean, quiet place to use as a base for exploring the Loire valley.  We had a wonderful stay, took the tram to Tours daily, and found the most charming farmer's market on Sunday morning while on a stroll through town.
The staff is all French-speaking only, but they are the most gracious folks you'll ever have the pleasure to meet.

A great hotel, a great staff and a wonderful location

Two seniors meandering down through France stopped off here for the night.  What a delightful find. A really helpful owner; a secure car park and really clean and well furnished bedrooms.  Nothing luxurious, but look at the price.  Everything you required was there, including a nice range of toiletries. No lift but as long as you know !
The owner gave details of one or two eateries nearby, but the one we would recommend is the 'La Pataterie' just over the level crossing and at the back of the car park. Adjacent to this restaurant is a Chinese, but quality of this is unknown to us.
For a 'budget' hotel, this is a real winner.  Delightful.

HOTEL CHANTEPIE - JOUE LES TOURS

We were looking for a Hotel about midway between Limoges and Caen and saw the good reviews for this Hotel.  We were greeted by the charming couple who run/own the Hotel who were very accommodating and helpful.  The Hotel is located in a quiet suburb of Joue Les Tours and is very clean and comfortable. The car-park and the Hotel are locked at 10pm but you are given codes to enter and park and codes for the Hotel also.  Our room and bathroom were clean and although there was no air-conditioning the windows could be opened wide and a shutter pulled down, a large electric fan was also supplied.  We wanted to walk to a restaurant for dinner and were directed to two local places, one a family type restaurant and a local pizzeria.  There was not much else in the area and Joue Les Tours centre did not have much to offer.
We ate at the local small pizzeria which had a nice selection of pizza, pasta etc.
In the morning we had a continental breakfast at the Hotel.  Would highly recommend this Hotel if you are looking for a quiet stop-over in this area.

EXCELLENT HOTEL QUIET NEIGHBOURHOOD

lovely accommodating staff , beautiful clean rooms. we speak NO French and the staff were amazing and so helpful. We were travelling as two families with two disabled children, and cannot recommend this place enough .

stop over point

We stopped here for one night on our way back from south of France with a 5 yr old and 18 month old.
The owners could not have been nicer, we were given fresh milk at bedtime for the children and as we had to check out before they served breakfast, they did our breakfast early so we could eat before heading off.
The rooms were very clean and exactly what we needed after a long drive.
Not a lot open in the town as holiday season - no bars to have a drink! Pizza restaurant round the corner was good and they were really nice. Avoid the Heineken bar at all costs though!
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
