This is such a wonderful place to visit, I can hardly do it justice!  We were only there for one night, we'd been hoping to visit the antique market in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue which didn't happen because we COULDN'T face the thought of finding parking in that congested little tourist trap.  However, that aside, this little hotel is situated outside the town, in the countryside.  Furnished with lovely antiques, fabrics, decor, friendly staff and a tasty and generous breakfast.  Do go and stay there, you're bound to love it.

Fab Fab Fab !

We stayed there in July- was very warm period - So it was super cooling to sit under these big trees and enjoy the beauty of this big garden.The whole place was like dream- all charm everywhere. Our room was so.....o charmig and the lobby where they served breakfast was very beautiful, and breakfast was really super tasty and rich. Swimming pool was really relaxing place. And the host Jean Xavier and his dog Ines were exellente- these two restaurant- he made reservation  for us were absolutly best we visited under this stay in Provence 

Perfect relaxing place

We were surprised at how remote this place is from the town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue.  It is down a dirt road, out in the countryside.  We drove in the gate and eventually came to a gravel area where we parked.  Then we tried to figure out what to do, since you can't see the house from the parking area and there is no indication of where you should go.  We spotted an unmarked path, so we decided to walk up it and see where it took us.  We found our way to the house, and were confronted by two possible entrances, both unmarked.  Fortunately at this point a very nice young man came out of one of the entrances to greet us.  He showed us the swimming pool, the garden,  the courtyard where we would have breakfast, and then helped us with our suitcase up to our room, which was in the back of the house and up a set of exterior stone stairs.   He then departed without ever showing us the interior of the house or any possible reception area or common area.  Our room was large and nicely furnished, with a sparkling clean bathroom (shower over the tub, no shower curtain).  We went out for the afternoon and evening.  When we came back shortly before 10pm, there were no lights in the parking area or on the pathway to the house.   The house itself was entirely dark and closed up.  There was no sign of anyone around.  We made it through the courtyard and up the stone steps to our room, again without lights.  We felt like we were the only people around in this big, dark, closed-up house...a weird experience.  When we went to bed, we found the mattress to be overly soft and sagging.  The next morning at breakfast we were surprised to see there were several other guests.  We enjoyed the generous serve-yourself breakfast, and were able to say good-bye to the pleasant young man from the day before.  On balance, our overall experience of staying at Campagne Baudeloup was uncomfortable, and we would not stay there again.  The quality of the experience could be improved by adding some lighting, signage, and acquainting guests with the facilities of the house itself.

Weird experience

The country house located not far from l’il Sur La Sorgue village. Peaceful surrounding. Owners are very kind and welcoming. Really big and spacious room with large bath. Personally I prefer a shower option. The fact that there is no  air conditioning wasn’t a problem, but it might during the summer. 15 meters swimming pool open all day with sun beds. Breakfast served for all guests on one large table was an opportunity to meet other guests. Tasteful and fresh continental breakfast.

Château versus Hôtel

We spent one night in what they pretend to be their best room. Nice environment and furniture but an horrible smell, probably due to dormice' or rats' pee. We couldn't sleep.
When we complained to the owner, he pretended it was the normal smell of wood furniture !!! Unfortunately for him, we had already experimented once this sort of smell in the house we own in the South of France and we knew it was pee smell.

This Chambre D'Hote met our needs perfectly. Situated in the countryside just outside L'isle sur la Sorgue, 10 minutes drive from the town which has a big choice of restaurants and reknown for it's Antique shops and market.  The lovely villages of Luberon, the lavender fields (although we were a bit early to see them all in bloom) are all so close, so much to see in the countryside, we didn't even make it into Avignon. Would recommend visiting the village of the old village of Oppede especially. Gerald, Claudine, Zavier and Ali are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. All the guests have breakfast at the same table so gives the opportunity to share exeperiences if you want.  And whilst we were there, Gerald and Claudine decided to do a dinner and what a treat that was, and it's dog friendly.Can't recommend the place enough. We were only there for 4 days/3 nights - Still so much to see in that area, we were hopefully we will be back.

A quiet piece of rural paradise

We had returned the second time to Campagne Baudeloup. We like its rural location and atmosphere. Plenty of space in the surroundings of the room and a great pool. Hosts are very friendly and receptive. You are left in peace if you like but conversation is always welcome by any member of the host family. After strenuous work this was the right place to relax and get fresh Provence air. 
We particularly also appreciate the location. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a nice city and located in proximity of many other places to see. Campagne Baudeloup is very calm 5min outside of the city.
