For those wishing to find a bed for the night in La Ciotat will know that it's a struggle. Struggle no more I say. Have a look at this delightful little pied-à-terre. The photographs do on this occasion do this fine establishment justice. If you were to add a splash of Édith Piaf's melodious tones singing padam padam, you would be transported back to 1951 in the whisker of a Parisian mustache. Breakfast was set at 7am for those who wish to rise early, simple yet very effective. The Coffee machine was most obedient after a brief introduction from the charming host Valerie and behaved itself through its process, producing a most bodacious bean. A return is most certainly on the cards. Un séjour charmant

Perfect

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at Rayon Vert.  Valerie was friendly and our room was beautiful.  We stayed in the room above the kitchen overlooking the garden with bathroom.  Very modern and well appointed.  And with the ladder staircase to go up I could imagine I was on one of the boats in the harbor.  We had homemade yogurt and jam for breakfast -the fig jam was to die for.  Highly recommend.  Even had umbrellas for us.

A charming bed and breakfast 

A wonderful, typically French shabby-chic residence in a side street just off the main harbour of La Ciotat.

Our room was clean, light and airy with an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served by the helpful owner, Valerie, either in the kitchen or in the secluded garden.

La Ciotat is a busy harbour surrounded by restaurants and has a street market every evening during the summer months on the waterfront. Take a boat trip to the island where there is a lovely restaurant, and a few secluded beaches and crystal clear sea.

This was a very last minute booking literally 10 minutes before I knocked on the door!
Valerie greeted me with a warm welcome and her hospitality made me forget about a booking mix up with another hotel that evening.
My room (the Lime Room) was large with a comfy bed and a good shower room.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty of cereals, fresh bread, and home-made jams and yoghurt.  It was also made available early as I had a business commitment in nearby Aubagne in the morning.
I would certainly recommend Le Rayon Vert to anybody staying in La Ciotat.  Valerie runs a wonderful place!

Lovely B&B in the heart of La Ciotat

In our itinerary of south of France road trip, we wanted to cover cassis and we booked this place in La Ciotat. 
La Ciotat is not a regular touristy destination in French Riveria and that's what makes it special. Our stay at La Rayon Vert was extremely rejuvenating. The room was designed beautifully overlooking a petite private garden. It was indeed one of our best stays in south of France. 

Peaceful.. Calm.. Beautiful

Nice sized room with overhead ceiling fan that kept us cool during the heatwave.
Comfy bed and good shower room. Had breakfast outside in a small courtyard at the back, no views as such but plenty of shady greenery.Indulged in homemade yogurt and jams, plenty to eat and made a good start to the day.We are late risers and Valerie was very accomodating inspite of the fact we were always last to arrive!

My wife and I returned to this part of France after 15 years. What a change! La Ciotat has grown up! Valerie and Guy have a really fun place and keep a tight ship. The room on the first floor was spacious and clean. The large bath dedicated to the room is across the first floor stair landing with a privacy screen.

Valerie is extremely  vivacious and helpful. Her advice on restaurants was right on and her enthusiasm for Chef Eric Sapet prompted me to buy his book.

Highly recommended.
