As a couple, coming here in June for a five nights break, to enjoy the many facilities advertised. 
This was not the place for us. It’s certainly not a 4-star camp site either. 
The mobile homes are packed together with just enough space to park your car in between each one, so it felt very cramped & with no privacy. With a tarmac road, running down the middle between the mobile homes, you can hear the goings on in your neighbour's cabins very clearly. It’s strange that everyone is so tightly packed together, as the land owned by the site is huge and with vast woodlands. It could have been laid out a whole lot better.

First night we arrived we were really tired from the long drive, so wanted to just have a quick dinner and to relax but we were told that wouldn’t be possible to eat at the restaurant as a fight had broken out between diners at the restaurant, forcing them to close it,  not just for the night, but for the week, with the reopening being on Saturday, the day we left. Very frustrating! It actually in the end opened on Thursday night, but still a very long time to close with so many guests. 
We noticed very quickly a very heavy security presence, the type of guys you’d usually see outside nightclubs in London, so perhaps fights are a regular thing here. Not a good first sign/feeling anyway. 

First morning we went down to enjoy the pool but there are huge permanent large dome shaped speakers con-created into the ground, playing awful French rap and pop music the lyrics included aggressive swearing and degrading language. We thought this an odd choice of daytime music for a place so full of children. Anyway we tried to relax but the music was incredibly loud and the pool was absolutely packed, one of the busiest pools I’ve ever seen, to the point where we didn’t even go in. 
However, I think there are most likely much nicer camp sites nearby, with better facilities and less trouble, that this place seems to attract! 

With the restaurant closed! we thought we’d pop down to the pool side bar/snack named ‘Espace Aquablue’ and enjoy a quick snack /drink before going somewhere outside the site for dinner 
First time in my life I’ve ever had to send back French fries, having had a-chip each! It was as if they had been cooked in very old oil or something, just not possible to eat. My partner went to the counter and handed over the uneaten chips and was told it was absolutely not possible for us to not pay! We felt that we were sort of bullied into it by the person on the cash register at ‘Espace Aquablue’ urging to us please pay and saying I’ll give you something later in the week to the value of the chips and that person above them would not accept that we didn’t want to pay, to the point where we felt sorry for the person and just paid. However, this is not the service of a four-star pool side snack bar! The whole thing made us totally uncomfortable. We didn’t return to the snack bar.
Nothing on this camp site is easy or relaxing!
I’ve heard people say it’s overpriced. If it was good quality food and drinks, I actually think the prices are totally fine, beer €6 and a cocktail €10 to me that’s pretty standard for France, but when what you get served is totally inedible it’s a different story!

So basically, we decided to cut our losses and not use any of the facilities that we had paid for. Thankfully, we had a car, so each day of our 5 days stay, we drove to local places of interest, local villages and beaches, just made the best of a bad choice of place to stay and had a good time in the end, as Le-var is a stunning region of France. Definitely a part of France we enjoyed exploring, probably a lot more than we initially imagined ha-ha 

I would love to hear back from the customer service team at Camping Pachacaid. I believe that the site is owned by business man Pierre Houe. It’s impossible to find a contact for him online, but I really hope he’s able to improve the site for future customers.

A disappointing experience

Entrance closed at midnight, you can not enter or exit, even if there are guards.
Mask was mandatory but, during events in the swimming pool for example, guest were all together one close to the other... it is weird..

We have holidayed here for 20 years and have owned a caravan on the site for 11 years until the new owners France loc took over we have seen massive changes since this the bar and restaurant is now horrendous the food is inedible and beer overpriced and flat the vans are within touching distance now so not only is there no privacy but it’s worrying that if there is a fire as there often is in the south of France these things would go up as they are clad in timber the views are to die for and it used to be a great site I grew up there and it’s so sad to see the demise of a beautiful place no English or Irish or welsh holiday there now it’s just primarily French not even Germans it’s quite hostile. However I am looking for new possibilities in the south of France I recently found domain de la naides near Port Grimaud with eurocamp near the beach good bar good accommodation and very clean well worth a look hope this post is helpful 

Ruined a superb place France loc 

I have visited Pachacaid every summer for the past ten years, from the age of nine. In those ten years, I have seen a complete deterioration of the site ever since Franceloc took over. 
As a young adult, I look forward to a summer holiday in which I can meet other young people and great night life. Pachacaid used to have a fantastic disco open every night with fully equipped bar and professional DJ. It used to be a real hub for nightlife and people would even travel into the resort to attend. You could understand my disappointment on my arrival this year, to find out the disco was in fact closed entirely. On questioning the bar manager (who is in charge) he implied that he couldn't be bothered to open the disco and therefore wouldn't. This was extremely frustrating knowing that there was a fully equipped disco ready to be used and all that was needed was the minimal effort of the bar manager to unlock the door! This had a knock on effect at night with teenagers and adults alike roaming around aimlessly with absolutely nothing to do.
In fact, this lack of nightlife wasn't the only way Franceloc alienated teenagers and adults who didn't have children. Everything seems to be geared towards children at the resort, whether that be the numerous bouncy castles, kiddy pools and activities. Even the things that are specified for adults is taken over by kids as well! There was not a time when I was in either the jacuzzi or the adult pool when there weren't children splashing around with water guns. Even though this isn't allowed and there are clear signboards that state these areas' usage be solely for over 16s, rules are not enforced by the lifeguards that never seem to be around, therefore completely diminishing any quiet spaces for adults. Even the gym, which was an adult space, has been taken away!
The swimming pool itself, although aesthetically beautiful, is utter mayhem. As soon as it opens at 9:30 holidaymakers rush to get as many sun beds and umbrellas as possible as they are free of charge. The pool area doesn't seem suitable to accommodate the amount of people the camp holds with people's beds on top of each other and there scarcely being any space at all in the swimming pool to stand, let alone swim. No rules are followed through with at the pool, people bringing food, shoes and even glass bottles near the pool, making an uncomfortable, and even dangerous atmosphere. Furthermore, Franceloc spent their funding this year on the placement of dozens of grenade-looking speakers surrounding the pool, booming out the most peculiar mix of music at full blast whether that be dreary ballads or African tribal chanting! There was never a moment by the pool that I felt I could close my eyes and relax.
The entertainment team is an imperative part of the functioning of the resort. However, this year, they were utterly useless. As a team, they didn't put on a united front and would often drift down to the pool area individually and unannounced. It seemed at times that they never actually worked. They'd come to the pool, do one dance and then immediately disperse. None of the team made an effort to go around and talk to holidaymakers unless they knew them. This completely infringed the minority group of non French people, leaving the few British and Dutch families feeling secluded and insignificant. Shows in the evenings were unprofessional, messy and infantile. They'd start late, last for only an hour and then immediately end, meaning there was nothing to do at the park from 11 pm onwards. One evening, the performance was from an external company and a rendition of 'Frozen', directed primarily at under 8s. This meant that the whole evening there was absolutely nothing of any entertainment for teenagers or adults.
It's always a bad sign when the restaurant doesn't have a kitchen. This was the case this year at Pachacaid, where the only restaurant's kitchen had previously caught fire, not been repaired and therefore a makeshift, port-a-cabin kitchen was used. This not only meant that quality of food was sub-par but service was extremely slow and frustrating. I even caught one waiter serving a table through a window because he couldn't be bothered to walk around outside. Once, and if, you'd received your meal, there was a queue to pay at the till at the end of the show because the handheld card machines couldn't get any reception in the restaurant, leaving waiters standing on bins and extending their arms to the sky to try and get reception. There were occasions where people, exhausted of waiting, simply got up and left, not paying for their meals. There was absolutely no order at the restaurant. During the show, people would seat themselves on the main staircase and the only fire exit, leaving people tripping over other people's shoes in order to get down the stairs. The standard of the restaurant decreased even more with the attire being worn by holidaymakers. People would come down to eat wearing the same sweaty pair of speedos they had been wearing at the pool and nothing else (not exactly appetising whilst you're eating a €20 steak!) The waiters, in general, were unprofessional, wearing tatty clothing and even smoking (or vaping) on the job! One waiter even served two underage girls alcoholic drinks in order to 'chat them up' disgustingly. After ordering drinks, I asked one waiter for the bill and he replied by just giving me an amount off the top of his head, with no written recognition of my payment leaving me non the wiser if he had pocketed that money for himself. The bar was in an even worse state! At first it was off bounds and people were expected to sit at tables to order drinks ridiculously. Once the bar did open, I realised it would be better if it had just stayed closed! The bar was filled with empty or dirty bottles leaving no space to even order! The barmaid herself was aggressive and un inviting causing a stir with some customers. Drink prices were extortionate for what they were, Mojitos being served in plastic glasses and €7 mocktails merely being plastic cups of Ribena (only one euro cheaper than cocktails!)
If I thought the restaurant was bad, the pool bar was even worse. The actual decor was horrendous with mismatch plastic chairs and unstable umbrellas that on several occasions toppled over, seriously hurting people. At the old Pachacaid from past years, there had been a beautifully hand painted wall depicting a tropical beach scene, a real stand out feature of the pool bar area. I was completely disheartened to find that Franceloc had unnecessarily painted over the wall in layer after layer of white paint, leaving the area looking bland and asylum-like. I had some horrendous experiences with the food at the pool bar. On one occasion, I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a calzone that I specified to have without egg. One hour later I received a ham pizza and a calzone (low and behold with egg!). When I questioned the waiter he told me they had not stocked pineapple in the restaurant for a while. I asked him to redo my order and add mushroom to the pizza if there was no pineapple and for a new calzone without egg. He brought back the same pizza with mushroom, but that had been double cooked so that it was a mere burnt crisp. We waited yet another hour for the calzone and when I had reached my tether and questioned the waiter on my calzone's whereabouts, he informed me that the kitchen had run out of dough, so that I had been unnecessarily waiting for a calzone that was never actually going to come. Funnily enough, in that time I spent waiting for the calzone, I could have driven to Italy and eaten one there! 
Thank goodness Franceloc can't ruin the scenery, because currently, that's the only thing that's keeping the camp alive.

Horrible!

This is definitely not a 4 star campsite but something between 2 and 3 stars.  Its management and facilities are letting it down.

Animation/entertainment is only in French, disorganised and poor.  
Restaurant and pool bar are basic and unwelcoming. Service is also poor and food is mediocre.

The pool area is large but you need to be there at 9:30 if you want one of the few freely available sunbeds. The depth of the main pool is 1.10m which in effect makes it a large puddling pool.  The adult pool and jacuzzi are taken over by kids jumping and splashing. 

There is a speedo rule by the pool but there is a no no-speedo rule at night at the restaurant.  People turn for dinner in their beachwear and in one occasion a man turning up in nothing but tight speedos.

This year they closed down the gym area and the disco was shut all nights we were there.

What makes the site special is its scenic location but I don't think this is enough for us to return again.

Disappointing 

The camping is nice with Al lot of shade.
The cabins you can rent are different.
We rent a cabin in pirate style. That was a bit of a disappointing thing. Not very much pirate to find.
The camping has Al lot of shade. But the children have almost no play room around the cabin.
The cabin we have is next to the steps to go up and down on the camping, so at 8 o clock when people go down to buy bread we are awake.
If you have a cabin up on the camping be prepared for a lot of steps to walk :)
The shop on the camping has enough and in Coglin there is enough shops like a Lidl and a eclerc.
The slides at the pool are great, be carful with the ones you need to slide down with a slide, if you fall over you will hurt yourself because the slides are made from concrete.
If you want a pool bed and umbrella for shade be there at 9.30 when the pool opens, if not you will have a chair and no shade.
The beaches are perfect you will need to go by car about 15 minutes. At the reception they speak good English and the will tell you where to go. There are enough places to go and see.
So if you don't mind to have no room around the cabine this is a nice camping, we want to have some grass for the children to play.

We annually holiday at Pachacaid but since it was taken over three summers ago by France Loc , the site has deteriorated! 

It has become one huge playground for children. A very unsafe playground with poor management and supervision, with ambulance staff attending casualties on a daily basis. Apart from bouncy castles, concrete waterslides, funfair rides scattered in random places, the children seem to have even taken over the ADULT Jacuzzis, ADULT gym, hammam and ADULT disco!  Noone is monitoring! 

The fact that we are English made us completely irrelevant to the site! We were insulted by pool staff after simply asking their poolside policy with sunbeds. The animation team DO NOT speak English, therefore English children are ignored and left out of events.  Entertainment is disorganised and amateur which lasts until midnight. 

 The restaurant is definitely not 4*! Very poor service. The restaurant bar barely exists as it is ALWAYS piled with dirty glasses and bottles, so very uninviting. The pool bar has become very basic with broken furniture and little canopy shelter from the sun. We were at the resort for the duration of the Olympics but disappointed that we could not follow it as they refused to switch on the ONE television that existed on site. The ice cream machine was broken throughout the whole of August  and when we asked if and when they would fix it, they replied that France Loc did not want to spend any more money. 

Very disappointed and saddened to see such a gem of a site looking so tired and managed so poorly. We would not recommend Pachacaid to anyone until France Loc sell it to someone who will bring it back to life.... sorry but true.
