We spend 2 nights at this wonderful B&B, to recover from jet lag and to visit the sites at nearby Rouen.  Our room was comfy and clean, tucked in among gardens.  The owner, Elizabeth, prepared a wonderful meal for us the first night we were there--many yummy ingredients coming from her garden.  The breakfast was wonderful as well (with great homemade yogurt!).  Owner was a wonderful host and gave us good ideas for sightseeing as well.

Warm Welcome, Cozy Room, Delicious Food!

Elizabeth is a charming host who has developed an incredible garden over 20 years. The accommodation allows for a separate entrance to your room(each with a terrace and seating area), and an outlook on the potager garden. There is much of the garden to explore, including a secluded water lily pond, with reclining chairs for contemplation.
The rooms are designed to provide for wheel chairs, and therefore the bathroom and toilet as well as the bedroom are quite sumptuous.
We very much enjoyed our days here, as we could venture to the hordes in Rouen and return to the tranquility of the village. What is even better is that, on Elizabeth's advice we caught the bus into the centre of the old town of Rouen.....quite a short trip, and avoided the hassle of parking in a foreign city. The advice Elizabeth provided for our day trips was invaluable, and contributed to the enjoyment of our stay

An oasis of calm and beauty from which one can explore Rouen & surrounds.

We stayed for a stop over in this great B&B. But we wished we could stay a little bit longer. It was a beautiful apartment with everything you need. The garden is lovely to stroll in and the owners are very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I really recommend this Chambre d'Hotes!

These Chambres D'Hotes are within a beautiful set of old buildings, restored by the owners, Elisabeth and Christophe.  The rooms are very light and airy, and decorated in a calming, modern style.  They all face a pretty garden.  Elisabeth was a charming, friendly hostess at breakfast.  She helped us with advice on the area and suggestions as to where to eat in the various locations we were visiting.  (There is also a gorgeous, 3-month old, German Shepherd puppy called 'Maup', whom I wanted to take home in my suitcase!)

We stayed with Elisabeth at La Parenthese Normande for 4 nights in May in the separate building in her beautiful garden. The room was big, the bathroom excellent with a separate toilet. Breakfast was typically French but really good with home made jams and youghourt. Elisabeth is a very charming and nice lady who gave us the very useful trip to follow la route des chaumieres to go to Honfleur instead of the boring motorway, this part of the area is a real hidden gem. Bed and breakfast as it should be: nice location, charming room, breakfast as the locals do, helpful host giving tips about the region. One of the best chambres d'hotes experiences we ever had.
