I stayed at this wonderful acommodation for three nights with my wife and my daughter during a wonderful trip to the French Atlantic Coast. It is conveniently located close to the highway and it is within walking distance from the city center. Our room was huge and very well appointed, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. We were able to park in the driveway, what was also very convenient. Our hosts were very nice and they gave great recommendations about what to do and where to eat. Breakfast is delicious with home made hams and jellies and plenty of options. The pool is also a must. I would surely recommend this spot for anyone visiting beautiful La Rochelle.

Wonderful acommodation in beautiful La Rochelle.

This is definitely NOT your average B&B!
Your room is in a bespoke architect designed and engineered modern home. It has the same facilities that 4 and 5 star hotels offer.
Danielle and Franck make you a part of their family.

On the practical side: don't bother trying to park in La Rochelle, it is madness. Simply leave your car at Les Arpents and stroll into town, it is a easy walk to the restaurants and shops.

I looked at almost every hotel in La Rochelle before deciding to stay at Les Arpents and must say that it was the right choice.

More a Boutique Hotel than B&B

I was travelling for work and I found only the availability of thsi B&B. I was really luky becasue the room are new and the mine was in front of the nice swimming pool. And the hospitality of the owner? She reccomended a lot of nice restaurants (not the tourist one!!!) and the breakfast delicious and with all the necessary cares you need in the morning.
30 minutes by walk far from the city center with a great wlan and parking free!

B&B like the hotel but warm

Very friendly lady and the rooms are very clean. She advises you where and where not to go so we took the most out of our trip. Breakfast is simple but fresh. She makes the jam from the fruit in her garden. Did I mention she was friendly? :-)

Highly recommendable

Would love to return to this oasis a 10 minute walk from La Rochelle (driving is not easy in the town so would suggest it’s not for those who don’t want to walk anywhere). Our hosts were fantastic, offering home made jams and yoghurt for breakfast with fruit and croissants and bread. All was delicious. We felt at total ease using the pool whenever it was too hot to be out and about. 11pm swims were our favourite. Numerous tips from Danielle as to where to go for days out. The room was clean and to a high standard with good air con (it was 30  degrees for our visit). Couldn’t recommend highly enough. 

Perfection

We booked here last minute as we d coded to have a couple of nights in La Rochelle on our way home from touring in Spain. It looks odd from the street with just a drive way in and a set of doors. But once through the doors it is beautiful. It opens up onto a garden with a pool and a large house. There are three rooms to let all of which open from the garden. The room we had was well decorated and spotlessly clean as was the ensure bathroom. Danielle, the owner, is a charming lady who goes out of her way to help all her guests, whether it be with recommendations of where is good to eat, what to do in the area, the weather etc. The breakfasts, which are included in the price, are delicious with a selection of breads and pastries, home made jams, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. These were served inside as the weather wasn't particularly good when we were there, but are served outside when possible. There are tea/ coffee making facilities in the room and also a room with a kettle and fridge for guests use. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the port area here but a 15 min walk will take you to the shopping and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here. Not your average B and B.
