This little hotel is gorgeous. The interior is beautiful, the beds amazingly comfortable, and the breakfast was the best I’ve had. Lots of homemade touches eg jams, madeleines. The hosts can’t do enough for you and recommended a great restaurant for our first night which they cheerfully altered when we were running late. It’s brilliantly located and a complete haven. I will definitely return with or without children!

Gorgeous

We had a fantastic stay and cannot fault a thing. 

- The location is so great, right near the port. 
- The house and courtyard is beautiful, charming and full of character. 
- The room is a nice size and we couldn't hear a thing of the road noise. Maybe additional glazing has been fitted since the previous reviews complaining of noise but it was absolutely silent. 
- The owners very discreet yet so helpful, nothing was too much to ask. We were provided breakfast on our last day even though we had to leave very early by 6am for an early train to Paris. 
- Breakfast is good and varied, again maybe it's changed since some previous reviews but we had pastries, breads with honey, jam, home made yoghurt, fruit, cereal, eggs, ham, cheese... very filling! 

Thank you for a great stay, hopefully we will be back one day with our family :)

Flawless Experience

Spent a fab weekend at Vue sur Cour.
Location absolutely fantastic for exploring La Rochelle, close to the action, but nicely secluded so quiet.
Rooms beautifully decorated, breakfast excellent (savoury or sweet option...sweet amazing!), and courtyard lovely, great place to sit out when the weather's nice!
Wonderful hosts, definitely planning on visiting again!

Wonderful place in wonderful La Rochelle

Marika and Yan (sorry if spelling incorrect) are lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our breakfasts were wonderful; homemade fruit smoothies, yoghurts, freshly squeezed orange juice, toast, pastries and cakes, and a selection of teas and coffees. We also had a choice if we wanted of cheese, ham and eggs.

We stayed in a room called Louise, both times, which is beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was very comfortable and warm and the ensuite shower room was just as tastefully decorated with lots of hot water. The room was cleaned daily and the whole property was clean and inviting. 

The property is very close to the Old Port with bars, restaurants and an excellent icecream maker. The three towers in the Old Port, one used as a prison, are fascinating to visit and the views from the top are well worth the steps you need to climb. There is a daily market and a number of tea shops to sample, for me, hot chocholate and yummy cakes as well as coffees and teas. There is a large tourist office with very helpful staff and an aquarium all in walking distance or, if feeling lazy, a boat taxi. 

The road along the Old Port has been pedestrianised since our last visit but access is allowed for B&B guests. We loved everything about our stay and wish we'd had longer.

The guest house is very stylish with good quality beds and superb furnishings. Every detail is thought about to make your stay comfortable. The owners are charming and have great knowledge of the town and surrounding areas and travel options.
Breakfast was excellent,  homemade jam, smoothies and fresh orange juice etc. When weather is good it is taken in the small courtyard which is beautifully planted. 
We really enjoyed our stay and will go back.
