What an experience! A real, privately owned château full of louis XV furniture and paintings surrounded by a moat. Breakfast was served by a man wearing white gloves and treating the original silver platters with deference. Slightly run down but this adds to its charm. Close to Beaune so perfect for wine tasting, we cycled the lanes and then picnicked by the side of the moat filled with ancient carp. Don’t miss this. It won’t be there forever. One last thing. There is no sign to say where to drive in, and no obvious place to park. Once in, leave your car next to the abandoned red vehicle then walk across the  field and over the bridge. Obvious when you know how. 

Don’t miss this glimpse into history

We have to find the entrance. The gate is closed. The place may be charming, but no. We don't know where we are, no reception, no reception. The person in charge of the service introduces us to our room, small living room, it's 3pm and the blinds are closed. A broccoli space rather than a room, we pushed the chairs (cased) to open the suitcase, a cluster of locks that make the atmosphere very heavy. Approximate sleeping comfort. Breakfast is limited to a croissant, bread/beverage/confetti cheap. This accommodation is not only in its juice but vintage. As for the price, excessive for being a little, comfortable and comfortable. It's not a hotel, but not a comfortable accommodation.

A Haunted House

What a wonderful rustic, charming location for an overnight stay. Full of original 17th and 18th century tapestries and furniture. If you are looking for a 5* modern hotel then it’s not for you but if you want an experience it is. Seen bad reviews on here but don’t agree with them at all. Charming butler who greeted on arrival and served breakfast in the courtyard.

15th, 17th and 18th Century Experience 

Bed and breakfast, without any service, except a butler (in white gloves!), who with great kindness tries to do his best to satisfy the customer. Bed and breakfast rooms are old-fashioned, but clean. Nice place but the park is not maintained and the whole thing is fresh. There is no way to order anything. Not even a bottle of water for the night! No possibility to have a drink, only tea or coffee. Maybe if you like old-fashioned life... but it feels fast.

Out of time and fresh

It was dar, no signs and a closed door; we thought we where in the wrong place. However, ring the bell and a butler appears. A French castle with a moat, slightly cold, in some need of renovation and decorated with an eclectic collection of everything. We were the only guest and it had a hint of the The Addams Family (in a GOOD way). It has tons of charm and is equipped with a butler, who in white gloves serves the breakfast in the grand dining room. The room was clean and the butler was very helpful and friendly. We just loved it!!

A different experience...

It's a nice place a little freshened up... it seemed very austere to us even though the reception by the man has done everything is rather nice. No room to relax in. No possibility to order anything to drink except coffee or tea. The not very clean set is not maintained.

Very expensive and not so good

The castle is located in a beautiful park, framed by a watercourse. Small waterfalls at the entrance towers enchant us. At night you feel like you're being maneuvered right back into another world, just fantastic. The whole complex makes a well-preserved impression. The garden is very beautiful and well maintained, roses, flowers and beautiful old trees, the walk through the park is unique. The whole facility is as it was during the time of the castle, the rooms offer every comfort and the location is extremely quiet. At night you hear nothing, you wake up in the morning at an open window, bird's eye view.

Neglected in the fairy tale castle

We remain mixed up after this stay in this castle at least authentic... the bed is comfortable but the vintage of the shower and sanitary parts, the average breakfast (despite the atypical setting) and above all the unjustified paying parking in no way justify the price of the night of 100€.

Mixed up.

Apart from the chateau frame the place is to be avoided. the site is difficult at first, with no indication on the main entrance. the rooms are old-fashioned, both for the bedding and for the water room for which it takes 10 minutes to finally have the hot water. the breakfast served by the white-gloved butler in one of the rooms of the castle turns out to be average, and so much to have a sweater because the room is not heated. and finally, parking is paid while the car is parked... in the castle courtyard? all this for 100€ at night is too expensive.

to avoid

Spent the night at the Chateau as a stop over on a road trip. Peaceful and beautiful, it was very pleasing to stay here. There is an air of decadence surrounding the place which adds to the atmosphere making it even more charming. No dinner on offer but a wonderful breakfast in the garden the next morning. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.
