We loved this place. It felt as though this was our private home. Glwadys who manages this B and B is so lovely. There  isnt a thing she would not do to make your stay perfect. From lovely breakfasts on the terrace to impeccably clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay so much and would a absolutely stay again. Location is a perfect place as a base to visit so many sites nearby. Great biking area.
We already miss this spot and hope to visit with Glwadys again.

Special and so lucky to have discovered this jewel in the country

We stayed here for 4 nights on the recommendation of family who had visited this place a few years ago. It was even better than we expected. Wonderful host, Gwladys, was so helpful and easy to communicate with.  

Breakfast was healthy and delicious and the croissants were the best we had ever eaten in France. One of the best additions to daily breakfast was the freshly picked grapes off the vines. 

Spacious and spotless clean room with a glorious view of the vineyards and surrounding area. Immaculate gardens and swimming pool with fresh clean towels daily. 

This really was a joy to come back to at the end of a hot day's travels.

Wonderful gem of a place

This is the second year I have stayed - first time, I enjoyed it so much, I decided I had to take my wife and friends along, too - and am so pleased I did. The staff - and Gwladys, in particular - are just wonderfully friendly and helpful with everything we asked for or about. My room was clean, large and very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the location is absolutely beautiful. We were all very sad when we came to leave!

Wonderful place for a relaxing and welcoming stay

I am surprised that there are not more reviews for this lovely little gem of a place.
We spent 8 nights here in May. Le Grand Jardin is owned by Nathalie, but the day to day running is currently done by Gladys, who spoke very little English but was brilliant at understanding our rather mangled French. She is friendly and helpful with a great sense of humour: a wonderful lady. The place runs like clockwork. The rooms are spotlessly clean when you arrive and are maintained to that standard throughout your stay.  Gladys makes the most wonderful cakes which are served between 4 and 5pm with tea/ coffee each day (I believe that this special offer, included in the price of your stay, may be for 2019 only). Breakfast is superb, with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, lovely preserves, fresh bread, cereals, yogurts, and eggs cooked to your liking. On nice days it is taken on the terrace. Gladys even did our laundry for us, returning everything clean, dry and neatly folded the same evening.
The rooms are set in the pretty garden and there is a very clean pool, little more than a plunge pool, with sun-loungers and clean towels beside it. Each room also has their own sun-loungers .
The rooms are pretty; rustic in terms of furniture but our bathroom (room1) was very modern and everything in it worked very well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Lafare is a tiny place but has a nice bistro with well-cooked French food just a couple of minutes’ walk away. We also found several other very good restaurants in the neighbouring towns and villages. We enjoy walking and found the surrounding area excellent for this with a variety of different walks through vineyards, woodlands, and pretty little villages.

A Gem

We stayed here a week.  All rooms are set in the garden. Our room was very clean with an amazing walk in shower.  We had our own table and chairs just outside also a couple of loungers for our own personal use.  We also had a ceiling fan and air con should we need it.  Breakfast had fresh fruit salad, croissants, bread, ham and cheeses.  We could also have eggs on request.
We ate there 3 evenings and could not fault the excellent food although there was no choice.  The 3 course menu was displayed at breakfast for you to order for the evening at a cost of €29.
There are amazing views from the rooms.  There is also a small pool for a dip on hot days.
Lafare is very small but there is another bistro just across the road.
It would have been nice to have a small fridge to keep our water cold and maybe a kettle to make hot drinks although Natalie was more than happy to supply a tray if you asked.
Would stay again without a doubt if we visited the area again
