In 20 years of "chambre d'hote-ing" on our journey from Calais to Northern Spain one of two superb overnight stops.
Clean - spotlessly clean!, comfortable, quiet, welcoming, quality in everything.

NFF - No Fault Found !

Excellent overnight stop. The only negative point was the host wasn’t doing an evening meal on the day we stayed. But can recommend The Pizzeria in the town for pasta dishes, as well as pizzas. Excellent breakfast, I had THREE boiled eggs as well as the usual Continental breakfast of breads, hams, cheeses etc. The host lady was a bit flustered and rushed off her feet at breakfast but managed very well on her own. Could do with some help which I imagine she must have when she cooks in the evenings, which from other reviews she clearly does on occasion. Very clean and well stocked ensuite, fantastic shower!

Stopover

This is an immaculate house set in 4 hectares of woodland on the outskirts of the small town of Lamotte Beuvron Near Orleans. There are 4 rooms upstairs, we had a triple with view onto the woods with shower and washbasin in one corner and a separate toilet. Everything was spotless with only very minor quibbles of rooms not being ready on time, bed being rather hard and entrance to toilet under a sloping roof so not for tall people. Also only one hand towel was provided for 2 people. However dinner was excellent and very generous served by the owner’s son on the terrace at the back of the house, wine was included as was coffee. Breakfast could be English or French. We chose the latter which was coffee, tea etc with fresh baguettes, butter, jam , croissants and fresh orange juice. The owner was very pleasant and hospitable. A very good experience.

Superb overnight stop

The room was perfect! Exceptionally clean and fresh smelling. The bathroom was "spa" like. I would have loved staying longer and will definitely book a room here on my next visit.
The breakfasts were wonderful with an assortment of meats, breads and soft boiled eggs.
Bicycles are available for personal use but the town is within walking distance.

Perfect Setting

Room excellent and spotlessly clean - great bathroom. The breakfast was lovely. Parking easy and secure. Very charming and helpful hostess. Easy access to motorway. This is now our regular stopping point - you will not be disappointed!

Another lovely stopover

The visit in a lovley, silent, green and period place,the breakfast delicious,typical french with a big choice. Very nice, hospitable, helpful owner. The room was very comfortable, graceful.  Hope to back soon 🙂

Acknowledgement

This B&B is spotless. Situated about 1k from the main "high road" in Lamotte. Our room was large and comfortable with the bathroom and WC across the passage way. The bathroom was also big with a choice of shower and huge freestanding bath.We would have preferred to have had an en suite, we believe the other two bedrooms have en suites, but didn't realise until we were shown the room. That said, we were private and had no trouble with other guests. Breakfast was shared with other guests which was enjoyable. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast as we arrived the day before and at what time so when we sat down our food was cooked and served. Would we stay again? Yes definitely, it's an ideal stopping off point for a drive back to the UK but we would have preferred staying within walking distance to the cafes and restaurants. This B&B is the best we have stayed in for cleanliness and comfort.
