Nice property and a nice warm accommodation from the hostess. The room was clean. The decor is not really to our taste, it may be a little old. It was quiet. It was nice nonetheless. Negative points: very unpleasant smell in the bedroom and bathroom, drains of sewage surely. Worn and raptured toilet linens. We found the average breakfast, although it is true that the hostess wants to satisfy you.

Mixed opinions

lovely location,but no amenities to sit outside in the garden which is a bit of a drawback after a long drive from Calais.Madame Theressa was very pleasant and the room clean .Breakfast was a bit of a let down...we did arrive on a Sunday (we booked well in advance)but croissants were a bit past their best,and French bread tough.Table cloth could have done with changing if you are fussy,and home made jams nice but no tops on them and this is a farm where there are flies.The same jams were on the table a week after we arrived and in the same almost empty state,as we stayed there on the way back for convienience and noticed.There are no cereals,just bread ,pancakes which the children ate.We have to say that the owner did leave the door open for us when we returned as she was away,which is quite unique,and  we had to lock ourselves in after going out for a meal  at night so nobody in the house ??? there is only one restaurant in Landean so no choice except a pizza restaurant that opens at 7 p.m on Sundays and does superb food for such a small place. There is good wifi at this accommodation.It cost us 75 euros for 4 people in 4 beds for a night with breakfast included as above,which is a fair price we had a family room.

lovely location but breakfast was a let down

Nice guest room in the countryside. You can take a long walk. The owner is very friendly and gives you time. The guest table is excellent made of simple but local products. I recommend it.

in the middle of nature - good table

The host is charming and passionate, the setting is pleasant and the overall atmosphere is warm. Our Sahara theme room was sleek and comfortable. We slept like loads. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade pancakes and jams as a bonus. It was really a very relaxing, refreshing experience! Only a little while, access is a bit difficult, especially at night, when you follow a GPS. Prefer the highways to the fastest roads.

A very pleasant time

Typical closet. Beautiful rooms. Good breakfast (! the coffee was cold!) We regret not having been able to eat when we arrived while the meal had been ordered and confirmed by e-mail!!

Shame on that forgotten meal!

We will remember Therese's kindness and her availability. The room was clean and good bed. We had dinner and it was very good. The breakfast... perfect, lots of choices, pancakes and everything made at home. An address to remember, an address to advise!!!

I had a lovely time at La Haute Bourdiere. The host was very welcoming and make a delicious cake for breakfast on top of what you normally find served. We loved our room (the nuptial suite)!
Not too far from some beautiful sites, Vitré, Fougères and the forest of Fougères. Our host also recommended us a great place to have dinner which we very much enjoyed.

J'ai passé un bon moment à La Haute Bourdiere. L'hôtesse était très accueillant et elle a fait un très bon gâteau pour le petit-déj (plus tout ce qu'on peut trouver au petit-déj comme d'habitude). On adoré notre chambre (chambre nuptiale)! C'était pas trop loin de les endroits sympas, Vitré, Fougères et le fôrêt de Fougères. Elle a même nous donné les conseils pour où de dîner.

The B&B is situated in a rural location but there's easy acess to Fougeres or Mont Saint Michel.
We have stayed here quite a few times due to having clients nearby and we are always assured of a comfortable clean room and a warm welcome. Madame Therese is a real character, she is more than happy to lay on a really good evening meal consisting of four courses including cheese and local wine for an incredible 15€. Breakfast, Included in the room price, normally consists of Fresh warm bread and croissants, pancakes, cereal, home made cakes and preserves and on Thursdays a selection of cheeses Which Therese usually purchases from the Wednesday market in Saint Hilaire du Harcouet.
There's free internet in the lounge and even a Hammam, spa and hot tub available for very a reasonable price.
What more could you want?

A really good French B&B

The rooms are all themed for colours and decorations; ours was 6 (marital bed, sofa bed, backpack with 2 single beds, but was so large that it could accommodate even more brandy), all in the colours of blue (it was called Oceano). Very nice. A little Spartan bathroom, with large corner tub. WC in a separate room, adjacent to the bathroom (as is usually in France).
