We'll be returning here without any doubt. Having stayed at many Chambres d'Hotes over the years, this could be the best yet.

A significant manoir in extensive grounds with a private nature trail, this is an impressive residence. But the guest rooms are accessed by private entrances, each with its own private terrace with garden furniture.

Inside, the accommodation is stylish, spacious and comfortable. A great deal of thought has been applied here by the owners and everything has been considered. Celine made us very welcome and speaks excellent English and was also very helpful in assisting us speaking our limited French. We had a great conversation at breakfast and look forward to continuing that next time.

Exceptional

We stayed in the Monarque room and well worth the upgrade.
Once again a warm welcome awaited as did a family of wild boar in the field next door, first time we have seen them in the wild.
Also spotted was a fox and a deer from our room.   This is real countryside...

An excellent stay in the Vendee.

Second stay

We stayed 3 nights in the Belle Époque room (without charm but comfortable). The bed was never repaired (not to mention the rest of the household.. the sponge towels were even changed every day). Excellent bed... except for the summer.. if you weigh more than 40Kgs do not move because the lattes are grinding!!! Strong smell of septic trenches in the toilet (which were fortunately separate.. but without windows). What about breakfast... medium, because serving orange juice in a bottle in a guest house is refreshing and the same for the choice of hot drinks! Attention, the house does not accept credit cards, do not forget your desk. The price is not even for a week and a half (95€).

Disappointing

We had a great stay at the Manor L'Eolière. Located in a large tree-lined park, the site is very pleasant and peaceful. The guest room is spacious, well arranged, extremely clean, with more than perfect isolation. This site is very quiet while staying close to Brétignolles. We were very well received by the owner. The breakfast is perfect. We highly recommend the guest rooms of the Manor L'Eoli. We will return there for our next stay in Vendée.

Very pleasant stay at the Windmill Manor

You don't want to be overwhelmed by tourists at Saint Gilles Croix de la Vie, so choose this peaceful place for two steps! Stephen is very nice and there is nothing to say about anything! The rooms are clean, the sheets smell good and the little fridge with a few drinks + coffee or tea is a big plus! We went there in early May and we will be glad to come back as soon as we have the opportunity.

Happiness

An excellent welcome from Etienne,  the owner, to a manoir in the countryside but close to villages, towns and restaurants.
Our room was light and airy with all the facilities we needed.   Breakfast was very French with bread from the local boulangerie and some items made by Etienne.
The grounds of the manoir are quite extensive with evidence of deer and boar on a trail in the woods.   Lots of different butterflies are also in evidence. Plenty of car parking space.

Three night stay

Too bad we had to leave the room before 11: 00 because we were cycling and we would have liked to take a shower a charming place away from the beach we met a nice little hare and cool room good bed!

One night!

We had a very good stay last year (but not in October 2015 as indicated below: no choice to specify below) in this very restful place. The welcome from Stephen when we arrived and from Céline the next day was friendly. We discovered a very nice room decorated with taste and enjoyed the impeccable hygiene and the very good bedding. It's a shame that the couch was much too hot in summer. The simple breakfast with a very good cake. We would have enjoyed fresh fruits.
