There are a couple of positives, which I will list below, but on the whole a disappointment and I think one can do much, much better.

We had originally booked elsewhere, but changed late in the game after realising that the other place didn't have A/C. This establishment had a room available and we decided to take it.

First the pluses:
- the view is nice, and we had a tiny private terrace;
- the A/C works well (ironically, it cooled down and we didn't need it much, we should have stayed with our original booking);
- the bathroom is large;
- we could use the terrace of the B&B during the day and got some rose wine (this was offered to us as Booking.com 'geniuses,' but not after some weird and inappropriate comments from the owners (by email, in response to my question about that through Booking.com).
The minuses:

- breakfast was very, very disappointing, especially after 5 nights at another place where it was spectacular.  Juice wasn't fresh squeezed, coffee was simply horrible, and we had to specifically ask for a yogurt which we saw being served to other guests. Other guests also got sweet escargot rolls, but we didn't even want to bother asking again;
- the first night there was no hot water, in the morning we informed the owners and during the day the boiler was fixed so that we were finally able to wash before bed. I get that this is noone's fault, but a small discount off the room rate would have been appropriate given that we had no hot water for over 1/2 of our stay;
- the beds are hard;
- parking is hit or miss and nothing is guaranteed.

I would not recommend.

Avoid

Had a lovely night in Lauris at the wonderful Bellevue. The owners are a lovely couple and their Romanian friend made us feel very welcome. It was difficult to find at first but then when we finally did we were very grateful. We had a very large room with a great view over the valley and enjoyed a nice dinner at the castle. Breakfast was good and the local small village was just perfect. We would have stayed another night but had already booked our next nights accommodation. We would definitely recommend to people who are considering staying in Lauris.
