We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Villa Marguerite. Our room was spacious with lovely detail. The nights were quiet with the windows open and roosters were crowing every morning. Delicious breakfast, tasty dinner and wonderful hosts. Cadouin is a special place.

Caroline and Florence who own villa marguerite are delightful and very friendly. Full of local knowledge and always greet you with a smile and a chat. Beautiful building in a perfect location. If  we could  have left 6 stars we would have done. Book your dordogne stay here as you will not be disappointed . Thank you for a lovely stay

Villa Marguerite is a charming, comfortable and beautifully decorated boutique hotel. While our room was small, there was a spacious sitting room to enjoy with french doors leading to a quiet and private courtyard. We looked forward to breakfast every morning and it was a true pleasure to meet Caroline and Florence, our very hospitable hosts. We hope to be back next year. 

I'm not sure I have the words to describe just how beautiful Villa Marguerite is. We stayed here for my birthday and couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Caroline & Florence were exceptional hosts, cooking a lovely meal for my birthday. The property itself is stunning and so very French in look and feel. The bedroom was lovely, with a beautiful view, and everything about it was peaceful and relaxing. We can't wait to return.

It all started with warm welcome from the hosts. They were outside on their front patio having a glass of wine when we arrived (we knew we were going to like this place!). They offered us a beverage and showed us to our room. After sleeping on a boat and sailing in the canals of southern France, this was a welcome and luxurious stay. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were super clean and well decorated. There were lots of places in the B&B to relax (patio out front, garden out back and a living room on the second floor). We were on a bicycle trip so used it as our home base for 3 days. What a great place to come back to after a long exhausting day!  But the BEST thing about this place was the food!  
We had breakfast and dinner there every day during our stay. We could have eaten elsewhere in town but the food was sooo good after the first meal we decided to eat there exclusively. Thank you so much Caroline and Florence!

It is very difficult to know where to start but we knew we had made the right decision to stay at Viilla Marguerite the moment we walked through the front door. It can only be described as like going back in time to an era of grandeur and decadence that is too often replaced by Ikea furniture these days. This grandeur and decadence was not at the expense of a feeling of home from home though and that combined with Caroline's warmest of welcomes, made the journey up the stairs to the suite that much easier. The suite certainly did not disappoint either and we took a moment to take it all in. Words are difficult to describe our experience over the 4 days and nights we stayed here - warm, comfortable, luxurious, rustic to name a few which still do not do justice to the efforts Caroline and Florence go to, to make you completely at ease in their company. And we cannot finish this without a big shout our for Florence - we spent 28 days in France and the best 2 meals were the ones we had at Villa Marguerite - by far. Why the restaurant is not busier is a complete mystery to us !

Everything was fantastic. The rooms are so inspiring and personal, dinner and breakfast was excellent but foremost, it was so nice to be welcomed by Caroline and Florence. The village Cadouin is small and beautiful with a well known monestary.

As 2 couples, we each had beautiful rooms with ensuite sharing a living area which opened to a lush garden in the back.  The breakfasts were delicious, fresh and filling.  The evening dinner options with wine were better than the restaurants in town.  A very warm and welcoming visit with a cozy atmosphere.  Both Caroline & Florence were patient and helpful with our use of the French language, merci!

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Villa Marguerite recently as part of a bicycle tour through the Périgord region. Villa Marguerite was the ideal location to enjoy all the Périgord Region has to offer: tasting foie gras, Bergerac wines and visiting the chateaus in the area. Caroline and Florence are tremendous hosts who made us feel welcome immediately upon our arrival by bike. This lovely inn is located in charming Cadouin, home to an impressive 12th century abbey situated is a lovely square less than 200 metres from the inn.

As cyclists, we often arrived at our rooms at 5PM to shower and unwind. Restaurants do not open until 7:30PM, so it is nice to be in a quaint village where there are places to see or sit to kill time and enjoy a glass of wine while discussing the next day’s route. Cadouin is very picturesque, and Villa Marguerite is in an excellent location very near the main square. (see review for Aquitaine Bikes -- highly recommended)

The inn has two beautiful guest bedrooms and separate bathrooms located at opposite sides of the home upstairs, which are reached by walking up the ancient wooden staircase and its lovely stone walls. At the top of the landing is a comfortable library/sitting room that opens onto an enclosed garden. Our room was reached by passing through the sitting room and was done in lovely shades of blue. Thoughtful touches include a Nespresso coffee machine and items to make tea or coffee. Wine can be purchased for reasonable prices by the glass, carafe or bottle, or guests may enjoy a bottle bought elsewhere in the pretty library or outdoors in the garden.

Florence is a trained chef, and we had the pleasure of dining at Villa Marguerite both evenings during our stay. The food was both beautiful to look at and to taste and served in the lovely main floor dining room. We highly recommend enjoying Florence’s fabulous cuisine, which was €35/person considering they included an entrée, main course, custom patisserie dessert, wine (white, red and rose – or a bit of all 3!), coffee and tea. Breakfasts were equally elegant and included fresh fruit salads cut into dainty pieces and served in glass bowls, creamy homemade yogurt served in jars, homemade jams, fresh bakery pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice and a pot of coffee. An open fireplace, soothing music, lighted candles, and a variety of different, beautiful place settings, glassware and cutlery created a pleasant, romantic ambiance. Nothing was rushed; although we were on a cycle holiday, our hosts understood that it was nonetheless our holiday and we wanted to savour every special moment. We would stay and dine here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful & thoughtful host Luc creates a beautiful French vibe in this quirky great accomodation and gorgeous village - while also easily covering any english language subtlies, when needed - tres bien

BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS, INCREDIBLE FOOD, FABULOUS SERVICE

The property is managed & designed by owners from Paris. You can tell the rooms have been well designed and thought through.  The little touches like handmade jam and new bottles of water every night were a nice surprise. They also helped get us reservations multiple times throughout our 4 night stay. 

The rooms are also spacious and bathrooms have good water pressure and constant hot water.  Beds were also comfortable. 

Well located to the small city center and surrounding area. 

The owners Erick and Luke were also extremely helpful. They gave us a ride back to the wedding venue/chateau we had been at the night before as we had a few glasses of wine and left our vehicle there. 

Don't hesitate to book. 

First quality property 

We spent a long weekend here in March and the double rooms were. Way to fully decorated with lots of antiques and quirky decor. The house is so pretty and in a central location in the village, just a few minutes walk from the abbey, bar and restaurant. The living area is comfortable and the garden looked lovely but we didn't get much of a chance to sit out due to the weather. A lovely stay!

Beautiful and quirky chambre d'hôtes

We spent a relaxing three nights in this lovely hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely owners. The room was clean and had lots of antique features. The bed was large and had a lovely firm mattress. The bathroom was modern and bright.
Breakfast was great lovely fresh French breads and lots of nice coffee.
