We stayed here for two nights in June after finally recovering from the realisation that, for the first time in probably over 175 bed nights we have spent in France, the proprietors of this establishment debited the entire amount of the stay when you make the booking. We spoke to the establishment prior to booking and we do not recall being advised verbally that this is how they proceeded once we nominated the dates and provided our credit card, which we thought was for security purposes to guarantee the booking.
 Our booking was made six months ahead of the visit. This was absolutely unprecedented in all the EU places that we have stayed since 2009.

The other unfortunate aspect was that we were told that there was a "nature walk" at the rear of the park however when we headed out on the track we found that it was  insect infested  by comparison with the way, portrayed to us.
The standard of accommodation and all other aspects were quite acceptable for the fee that we were charged.

It seems at odds with the general philosophy of other French Chambre D'Hotes , visited over this extended period, where, provided you do not cancel within a prescribed short space of time, you will be debited at arrival or when you check out.


A confusing experience

The beautiful house has been sympathetically updated with every amenity. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean bedrooms and excellent facilities, but the stand-out feature is the wonderful hospitality at which which Anne & Patrick excel. They are the perfect double act! Nothing is too much trouble - you arrive as guests and leave as friends. They go out of their way and Patrick gave us some very useful “insiders” hints and tips which enhanced our visits to local chateaux.

Five star comfort and hospitality

Just like home, but much better! We had a wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were absolutely superb and helped by making restaurant and wine tasting bookings, as well as suggesting things to do nearby. The accommodation was fantastic. We stayed for the last two nights of a two-week tour around Germany and France and it was the most comfortable bed and spacious, well appointed room of the whole trip. We definitely recommend and I haven’t even mentioned the delicious breakfast yet!

Just like home, but much better!

This has to be my favourite place to stay of all time. The accommodation and grounds are absolutely stunning, we were blown away from the minute we arrived through the gates.  Location is perfect for exploring chateaus. For us, the icing on the cake was Patrick and Anne who are two of the nicest hosts I’ve ever met - they made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble! They sent us restaurant and vineyard recommendations ahead of our stay and gave us advice when planning our daily itineraries which was super helpful! You are very special people and we will never forget our stay 😊

A special place ⭐️

This B&B was superb in every way it is possible for a B&B to be superb.  Fabulous location -- central for the most well known chateaux. Super accommodation -- big, clean room with everything we needed and it all worked; wonderful breakfast, different every day and using local produce.  Best of all, Patrick and Anne are fabulous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble -- their advice and guidance on restaurants, places to visit and things to do were excellent plus they are such nice people happy to chat and get to know you. The best!

Superb in every way

We spent five nights at this delightful bed and breakfast run by the charming Anne and Patrick.  From the moment you drive through the entry gate you enter a special environment.  The garden surrounding the house are beautiful and you could easily picture yourself sitting around the pool in summer. 

Our room was beautifully decorated to reflect the era of the house but with excellent heating and bathroom facilities.  The attention to detail of the owners was exceptional and exceeded that of many a five star hotel.  Every day the cotton face wipes were replaced and other items replaced.  The beds were comfortable and the view across he park like surroundings was beautiful to wake to each day.  

Breakfast was extensive and delicious and Anne and Patrick explained what was available each day - with the range of breads, pastries, juices, cheese  and confiture changing daily.  I have kitchen envy for the perfect country kitchen, but perhaps I also have envy for what they've created all round.  Hospitality is at the heart of this lovely property and that's so rare these days.  

We would definitely return - preferably to enjoy the pool and explore the Loire further.  The location is excellent for exploring the castles of the Loire, and there are many quality restaurants a short drive away from the hotel in the range of nearby towns.  

We loved staying here as it felt like staying with friends.  The room with the honour bar was a lovely place to spend apero and have a drink in the afternoon.  In warmer weather it would be delightful to is outside and enjoy the gardens.  

Perfect display of true hospitality with high quality facilities and attention to detail.  We loved it.  

This is a superb place.  Location is really good - quite rural area but close to the castles and only 18 minutes from Blois.  Wineries are right there too.
The house is full of history and charm but the renovation fully provides for comfort and convenience.  
Breakfast is tasty and hearty, the pool is nice.  
One of the best hotels I had ever stayed in.

History and comfort

My son and I stayed here a few weeks ago. The place is gorgeous, clean and breathtaking.   Anne and Patrick are wonderful.   We were so happy we chose Domanine de la Blonnerie.  You will be happy you chose this beautiful place.

FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY AMAIZING HOSTS!

An amazing domain, an oasis of tranquility and silence, fabulously surrounded by greenery.  It seems to be in a fairy tale.  The outdoor spaces are accurate with a delightful heated swimming pool.  The room is a fabulous journey back in time, it is large and comfortable, furnished with taste, care and attention to details. The breakfast is of excellent quality, rich and with many local products.  The location is ideal for a full immersion in the magical atmosphere of the Loire Valley.  But what made this stay unforgettable are the owners.  Their advices were really valuable.  Their passion, their good taste, their availability, the heart they put into every detail, made us feel truly at home.  It was hard to leave ...

An unforgettable experience...

Chosen as the reviews were outstanding and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a converted farmhouse and the changes made by the owner are outstanding; it's classy, roomy and has oodles of style and flair. The bedroom was slightly less amazing but still ticked all the boxes with plenty of room to spread out and relax. We were greeted at breakfast by a plate of French Toast and Pancakes, closely followed by fresh melon, boiled eggs and of course croissant and frenchbread to go with the homemade jams. Magnifique
