35 reviewsYou won't find better value than this. We always stay in the same room overlooking the rolling Ardeche countryside. Magaly and Nicolas couldn't be more friendly and helpful, while, at the same time, giving you your own space. We also generally have the pool to ourselves, small, but picturesque. The terrace, where you dine when is it warm enough, is covered with vines and grapes which add to the ambience. Pichets of local wine are great value as are the Chataigne (Sweet Chestnut) Kirs. The cooking is French provincial and like mother would make (if she was French). Very tasty and plenty on offer. We found La Terrasse by accident, just wandering through the Ardeche, but we make a detour every year now to sink into the comfort and relaxation that this hotel offers. Just outside Lamastre, on the road to Le Puy, there is a great Plan D'eau with a diving board. One side of the river has grass and the other sand.
