A small family run business with simple facilities, but friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience. The hotel overlooks the estuary of the Somme river. It has small bedrooms but they are clean and well equipped.

A great family run hotel in a delightful town with open sea views across the Somme estuary.

Touring through Normandy towards the end of our holiday we arrived by chance in Le Crotoy. This hotel is a really nice chance find. It was very comfortable and peaceful, in fact everything about the hotel was excellent. All the staff were very helpful and the rooms were spotless. Would stay again if any where in the vicinity.

Nice hotel.  We had a sea view comfort double room - plenty of space and a nice view out over the bay with reasonable shower & separate toilet.

Staff friendly & very rapid check-in.  Easy to find a space at the car park in front of the hotel but not sure what happens on market days - every Friday and also Tuesday in summer holiday period.

One note of caution - the hotel effectively doesn't open until 08:00 (breakfast & reception).  This means you can't check out - perhaps you can make arrangements - but we had nowhere to drop the key as the reception is sealed off and just a single exit straight onto the street. Bear this in mind if you are after an early start (ie ferry!).

Nice hotel in a good location

The hotel was easy to find and situated in a good position on the sea front. Our 2nd. floor room had a partial view of the sea and was clean, bright and modern. The bathroom was adequate. The heating was comfortable as was the bed and we slept well.
Next morning we took breakfast in the  ding room which was also bright and modern. We had a good choice of cold meats and cheese and were well satisfied. We had a good stay and especially enjoyed our drink in the small lobby before going out for dinner. Thanks to the staff who helped made our stay enjoyable.

A nice room with a view.

This was our second stay at this well placed hotel directly by the estuary. It was just an overnight stay this time to break our journey back to the Eurotunnel.The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and a good breakfast is served in a light and pleasant dining room.  The decor tends towards the functional but everything is very modern with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The public car park is right outside and the receptionist at the hotel will give you an all day parking ticket for 5 euros. Pay a little extra and get a room overlooking the Baie - it's well worth it.

Wonderful views of The Baie De Somme

This modern, light and attractive hotel overlooks the small port and carpark (payable from 9.00 - 19.00.). The hotel will sell you a cheaper ticket at 5 Euros pd. The parking is free in the winter months. 

There is no lift. We had a large room on the 2nd floor overlooking the harbour and carpark, and which was basically very quiet at night apart from the refuse lorry one night and noisy fishermen shouting to one another as they moored at midnight another night!

Large very comfortable double bed, wardrobe and shelves, 2 “desk” type areas, with drawers in both. There was a sofa, and a flatscreen TV with BBC World News as the English language channel. At the back of the room there was a good luggage rack, mirror and hooks, but there were only 2 good bedside lights + 2 dimmish lamps in the room and thus it was difficult to find anything in a suitcase even in daylight. The bathroom had a basin and a shower over the bath, and a separate but unventilated w.c.

It was extremely hot when we stayed, and with the windows taking the sun all day - unless using the electric shutters and when there was no air, and on asking if there was an electric fan, Laetitia produced what we suspect was the one from her office for our use - very welcome and an excellent service response.

We had breakfast some days - 10 Euros with a varied buffet, including pancakes to heat up in a microwave oven, and in an attractive modern dining room. Their bar is open about 14 hours pd both by reception and on a small decked area outside facing the port.

Le Crotoy is a small peaceful town but with a number of restaurants with a heavy emphasis on fish and seafood and mainly around the harbour. it is about 6 miles from the extensive wetland nature reserve, the Marquenterre. Abbéville is about 30 minutes’ drive. The much larger, more popular and hectic St. Valery sur Somme is visible on the opposite side of the estuary, and can be accessed by a tourist train.

The town is about 90 minutes’ motorway drive from Calais and thus a good first or last night’s stop in France.

Slightly marked down as teh room was dark at the non-window end, and the heat made it difficult to sleep - even with Laetitia's fan.

Attractive small hotel overlooking the Somme estuary

Travelling further south in France, this was a perfect first night stop to break the journey. Easy to find, public car park right outside the hotel (go in to hotel and for 4 Euro they provide a ticket valid until 9.00 the next day). We arrived on a Wednesday night slightly out of season, not all the restaurants were open but those that were provided enough choice. The room was not luxurious but it was very clean and comfortable. Would certainly stay again

Perfect for a one night stop after Eurotunnel

Clean efficient room. Beautiful town with lots of good restaurants. Room is extremely small. No hair dryer. No elevator. Very quiet. Breakfast is good meat juices bread condiments. Restaurant next door is great
