Helpful campsite owner came to our aid when we had a flat tyre due to a leaky valve.
As soon as we told him he came and removed the wheel and took it to a local garage to be replaced. All done within an hour at a cost of 10€

Outstanding service

Fabulous holiday in Le Grand Bornand. Escale is a very efficient and well run site. 
Family run and very friendly. I tried to speak in French but to be honest I spoke French and they answered in English. They were so much better I gave up. 
Excellent restaurant on site used by locals as well. 
Very clean and efficient toilet/ shower facilities. My only comment would be that they do tend to clean to facilities when most people want to use them in the morning. 
Lots to do in the area and June is a lovely time to visit as not too crowded and roads are good for driving. Beware of the hundreds of cyclists who are trying to prove their Tour de France fitness levels!!!
All cable cars and ski lifts are closed but just as we were leaving the gondolas opened for a weekend. Clearly warming up for the summer season after a break following winter season.

Caravanning

This is a great campsite to spend your holidays.  Whether you want to make long walks in the beautiful area or lay at the swimming pool.  Very friendly staff, nice pitches, very good sanitary.  The village with lots of shops and restaurants is at short walking distance.

Great !

I was a bit apprehensive if being booked here for a group ski trip, however, I needn't have been. Perfect location for the town centre with stunning views. They even provide storage lockers for ski kit downstairs which made life easier. The staff were helpful and spoke good English too which helped lots. I would stay here again as the apartments were better equipped than I expected with tv's with USB ports and even dishwashers in our apartment. 
We didn't try the onsite restaurant but people that did said it wasn't bad at all. I would recommend people use this place for group bookings as our group were all more than happy with our stay.

Spring ski trip.

This campsite is situated in a lovely location in the mountains to the east of Annecy and it's lake.
The campsite staff speak excellent English, so there is no language barrier and the facilities include a games room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, new toilet and shower blocks, a restaurant , washing machines and free WiFi. 
The ground can be very hard - depending on where you pitch - and good rock pegs will be needed (I managed to bend 7 of mine pegging the awning out). The electrical supplies are varied and you may need a polarity reversing connector and possibly a French to Euro plug adaptor as well. A word of advice - there are no toilet seats fitted which probably makes it easier to keep the toilets clean and, to be fair, the toilets and showers are kept spotless.
As you are in the mountains the weather can be very variable, but it is usually possible to travel a short way to find sunshine if it is raining at the campsite.
There are a lot of places to see and visit in the area and I definitely think this site is worth a stay for anybody travelling this way.

Campsite in a lovely location

We stayed at your campsite for 2 nights, but were planning to stay longer and also for a family holiday next month. The staff were very pleasant, and we enjoyed the bar and pizzeria. However, we found the poor maintenance with regard to the ice too much. It was like parking our motor home on an ice rink. Even going to the toilets was like ice skating. We had anti slip liners on our shoes and still nearly fell several times. The ice on the decking and steps was cleared on our last day but we had decided to leave by then. We have stayed at many campsites skiing and never had a problem so bad. It's a shame as Le Grand Bornand is a lovely ski area.
Good luck in the future and please consider buying some salt or grit.
