TERRIBLE. Upon arrival, receptionist was surly and oozing attitude. I asked where the lifts were and was told that there are no lifts and to use the stairs, he immediately returned to his phone. Room was dark, poorly lit and boasting the worst and smallest shower room I’ve ever experienced. Shower leaked at both ends and the curtain was black with mould & dirt at the bottom, my wife refused to use it. Sleeping; incessant road noise throughout the night and there was shouting and screaming until 1:30am from locals. Breakfast; keep your expectations really low otherwise you’ll find a new level of poor….!! Could not wait to leave.

Very tired hotel in need of major upgrade. Very noisy so hard to sleep. Breakfast was a shambles. Not enough trays, or food. Plenty of bread but kept running out of croissants. Not many tables or chairs so had to stand to eat. 

Disappointed- better to try elsewhere

My wife and I went to Le Mans for the Le Mans Classic event. The Ibis Budget is a basic hotel, rooms are small, breakfast reasonable. Parking space is excellent. Hotel is right in front of a supermarket, which makes it very convenient. During the three days we were at the hotel the front desk person most of the time was a very pleasant young man. 
One morning there was another person setting up breakfast (a middle age white male) who was quite unpleasant with one of the guests.

Good value for the money.

This ibis accomodation is really budget with a capital B (unlike the “hotel” chain). In our room, it was scarcely possible to squeeze around the bed. There was a closet, but this somehow contained the sink, the toilet and the shower! Needless to say the water from the shower inevitably ran out of the tiny shower and into the room. In the corner of the room there were a few not very suitable pegs to hang the clothes, which were falling off the pegs all the time. 
It felt like spending night in a box. 
The breakfast was slightly better than the room, a minimized version of a breakfast buffet. 
The area is pretty much restaurant free and the best option is, surprisingly, L'Annex just across the road with their own good pizza. Do not be too late if you want a pick!

Just an accomodation

Hotel is not like it looks in the pictures! Very dark, dirt and stinks! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO STAY THERE.
I felt that this hotel it’s a catcher for travellers passing by  to stay overnight! Big waste of money

Worst Hotel Everrrrr! PLEASE DON’T STAY THERE TRAVELERS

We stayed here for a night on our journey back to Calais. The rooms are basic and small but it was clean and the beds were comfortable and look well presented. 
The bathrooms however are the pod kind, so are very small and are dated and in need of attention. 
The hotel is a budget option so won't be perfect.
The breakfast was good, with a selection of Pastries, toast, yoghurt, juice and coffee.
Parking was plentiful and the area had shops and some restaurants close by.


Just a night, so acceptable!

We always stay in Ibis budget and have never been disappointed until now.the room was dark with dim lighting and windows filthy.there were breadcrumbs all over floor and someone had peeled in toilet and not flushed.impossible to shower without soaking the entire room....this in Covid times was NOT good.breakfast disappointing minimal bread and pastries hot water for tea was out of machine and not boiling.we arrived Sunday afternoon tired from long drive from South .check-in was via machine and alll restaurants were shut only place open was burger place .so we took a tram to town centre and found a lovely Italian pizza on the plus side the bed was comfy but sleep was deprived due to lights and noise from building nearby,needless to say we will never return.

Not good

If you want to get ill, check in here. The lobby, hallways and the room are smelling like mold, the health department should take a measurement here. No room service, no fresh towels....All is rotten and dirty. The pillows, bed linen and towels were clean and without a nasty smell. I understand, It’s a low cost hotel, but the minimum hygienic requirements should be met.

Unbelievable bad

Having stayed here previously, I decided to go for it again.  I pre-booked for on the way to Disneyland from Saint Malo and again for the way back.

The staff are great - let me just say that.  The staff are legitimately friendly and welcoming.  Whilst the hotel can be faulted, the staff cannot.

The car park is free and well sized.

Room #1 - we arrived fairly early, crossed the road to Carrefour (there is literally a decent sized shop directly opposite the hotel) to get some snacks and returned to settle in for the evening.  Again, like last time; at this point the room is cheap and not especially cheerful.  The kids were on the bunk beds watching tv and I was laying on the main bed, reading.  As I’m laying there, with the bedside lamp overhead, I noticed my head feeling warmer and warmer.  I felt my hair and it was very hot to the touch.  Almost at the same moment, one of my daughters screamed.  Her twin sister and her had been playing a stupid game where #2 was pretending to be asleep, so #1 pushed her arm to wake her... her arm had touched the bedside/overhead little lamp on the bunk bed and quite severely burnt her.  Indeed it left a mark, which she would be sporting for the whole holiday.

Surely it’s bad enough having such hot lamps above the double bed - but to have them on the bunk beds too (directly over their heads), which will generally only ever have children sleeping in them, isn’t acceptable.   You could feel the heat coming off them from a distance.

Room #2 - lesson learned with the lights (stay clear of them!) but this was the worst of the three rooms we have experienced (from 2015 and now).  There was black mold on the wall and a large stain on the carpet.  This room felt dirty and I just wanted to leave from the offset.

We did try the breakfast this time.  It was alright with a fair selection of the normal continental breakfast items.  Not the best I’ve had but it was better than starvation...

I don’t like to be overly negative but having attempted this hotel three times now, with two negative experiences and one mediocre one - I don’t think I’d say there again.

Be careful of the lights!

Basic hotel which looks a bit tired and dated. That is reflected in the price you pay. On the plus side there is a tram stop right outside to take you into the centre as well as a small Carrefour to stock up in.

McDonalds across the road for a quick bite if you don't want to venture far.
