Chalet Savoy is a traditional looking ski chalet in the picturesque town of Morzine. It is ideally located with the two main lifts being a short walk away. We were greeted on arrival by the Chalet Manager Ellie and Chef Dan. It was a warm welcome that lasted throughout our stay. The Chalet was clean and well kept. Our room was delightful with a wonderful view of the mountain scenery. The food prepared by Dan throughout the week was second to none. Even afternoon tea was something to look forward to. Ellie and Chalet hostess Carla were always on hand to offer information about the area and gave some great tips on places to visit. We not only had a fantastic holiday but felt that we had made new friends too. We would love to return to Chalet Savoy.

Idyllic location,fabulous chalet

This Chalet is superb for a stress free ski experience. Great food, comfortable rooms, sauna and hot tub after a hard day's skiing. Oliver has taken us to a different resort each day and guided through the best pistes, chasing the sunny sides!

Amazing hosts

Having stayed at Chalet Savoy before I knew what to expect - daily snowshoeing trips in France, Italy or Switzerland chosen by Mountain Leader Oliver based on the snow conditions, the weather forecast, the experience of the group etc; the provision of snowshoes, ski poles, avalanche transceivers, probes and shovels and a practical session on how to use the safety equipment; Oliver's expert knowledge of the terrain, flora and fauna built up over 25 years; the presence of Dylan the dog on the walks; Elaine's great breakfasts, packed lunches, 'cake of the day' on return from each walk followed by an excellent 3 course evening meal; the use of the hot tub in the garden in the evening gazing up at the Chamonix Aiguilles and watching the stars appear in the night sky; the use of the sauna on the top floor; the comfortable rooms etc; and the great hospitality of Oliver and Elaine.  I have been on snowshoe trips with several other providers and none can match Chalet Savoy. Did I have a great holiday? - yes.  Will I return again? - definitely (and the summer walking is great here too!)

Snowshoeing Heaven!

My wife and I stayed here during a recent visit to Chamonix. It is operated by an English couple, Oliver and Elaine, who are very hospitable. Elaine serves a wonderful breakfast. We also dined there for one dinner, and her dinner was excellent as well. Oliver is a mountain guide and offered many suggestions related to places to visit. The views of the mountains from the chalet are wonderful. The only negatives were that the rooms are somewhat small and the bathroom dated.

Chalet in the French Alps

The mountains are beautiful but Elaine and Oliver made the stay memorable. Very gracious hosts. Of course their dog Dylan as well as Oliver guided us on the trails and Elaine cooked excellent meals for the week we stayed.
