Fantastic hotel to stay in whilst skiing in Les Houches with my daughter for 4 nights. 

The location is great, right on the bus route and 2 doors down from ski hire shop. 
The nursery slope for practise is directly opposite. 

The staff are friendly and the hotel is immaculate, I would definitely recommend and hopefully return later in the year.

Great ski hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chris-Tal in Les Houches.

The location was fantastic and we were able to park directly outside. It was central, near the bus stop for the Chamonix bus and had a great view of the mountains and the local slopes. We appreciated the dedicated ski room for boots and equipment and had a couple of lovely swims in the pool. 

The rooms were very comfortable, more like a small apartment and included a little kitchen area.  They were cleaned well daily and had lots of storage space to keep our suitcases and ski clothes out of the way. The continental breakfast set us up for the day and my sons particularly enjoyed the croissants and oranges. 

Our thanks to the Manager, Mr Gherold, who was always around if we wanted advice. We will return again soon!

What a view of the mountains!

We booked a night in this hotel. The hotel setting is friendly and the hotel itself is convenient. Clean and typical mountain room. Where we were very disappointed is the reception that was reserved for us. We were mostly in contact with a woman, who has to take care of the reception and room service. She immediately made us uncomfortable. We had a taste before when I called before arriving for a question. A very unpleasant and uncommercial tone. When the keys were released to us and we had no explanation. For the evening, I had no explanation. We had answered an email for a surprise dinner.

Comfortable setting but disappointing reception

The hotel was nice but we weren't comfortable because I don't know!!!!! the room didn't top a little smell on the balcony level I wouldn't say bad hygiene but a little   but    expensive dinner 2 omelets 20 euros good????may be from December 31st.....

A little disappointed

We spent two nights in this hotel: a spacious and clean room. Very good breakfast and with the passage of time a very appreciated room service. Very good location. Close to Chamonix. Thank you.

Very good stay

Family hotel, very well maintained, personal with little care, well placed, with a nice swimming pool very nice after the walks.

Very nice reception, very good menu offered by the chef, very friendly and homemade, even fries for children;)The chef is very nice, I recommend this place. The setting is nice with a beautiful view of the mountains.

We stayed in this hotel in February 2020, during school half-term. There were three of us, myself, my husband and our 9 year-old son and we chose for our stay a quadruple room with a kitchenette. 
The room was more like an apartment, very spacious and lovely, with a bedroom and a king-size bed in it, another cosy bed in the niche next to the bedroom (our son absolutely loved it!) and the third bed in the living-room. The kitchen was well-equipped with cookware and utensils, the only thing which would have been nice was a regular kettle, we did not fancy the coffee-maker that much, but it was okay.
We felt very welcome right from the start, I remember having read some reviews here about the rudeness of the staff so I had been a little worried about that, but the owner Florent and the rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, Florent gave us a lot of useful information about the area and handy bits like free bus tickets and a bus timetable, the maps of the slopes in the whole Mont-Blanc area, the map of Les Houches, etc. Whenever we interacted with the personnel, it was always pleasant. 
The cleaning was smooth and it was very nice after a long day of skiing to return to a lovely clean room with made-up beds and clean towels, every day!
I agree with the previous reviews that the hotel is not new, but we did not need it to be, it has this Alpine charm about it and I would not like it to change a lot, personally. The only thing I would work on is heating, it was okay in the living-room, but in the bedroom the heating was rather low. But again, that did not spoil the impression of the hotel and a lovely time we had in Les Houches. We did lots of skiing and went to see Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace, and the holiday was just fantastic!
We haven't eaten at the hotel restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. But we did use the pool, which was very nice (a little cold for me, but absolutely great for my son, he went there almost every day!) We also played table tennis and once our son played video-games in the gaming room. There was only one game, unfortunately and it was 18+ so we did not allow him to play there again. 
In the lobby, there is a lovely fireplace and it was nice and cosy to sit there in the evenings, I wish I could just stay there forever :)

A very nice hotel, we loved it!

Excellent reception, quality of service, high-quality authenticity and human warmth, quality practical information and good plans at the reception.

Human heat and regional authenticity

No one dishonest to tell you that all the hotels around here are full and cheap, but of course, that's not true, because the gentleman wanted us to rent his room for four when we were two.
