We arrived very late (10pm+) as we were held up driving across France, but the hosts could not have been more welcoming. The place itself has secure parking (it has a key-code controlled gateway) and is just one minute’s drive off the A63 autoroute at Liposthey, south of hectic Bordeaux and north of Bayonne & Dax - which is why we picked it, as it set us up nicely for an onward journey into Spain. Our bedroom, in the main house, was superb, the comfy bed gave us a very welcome sleep, and the shower was excellent with immediate hot water and great water pressure (just divine after a 14-hour day on the road). It all unfolds in the peaceful surroundings of this small country hotel, sat in a carefully manicured and maintained cottage garden (but with a few games, including skittles, a basketball hoop attached to a tree, and a couple of footballs) along with little curios peeking from out of the foliage. We woke up, made coffee in our room, and then went downstairs, where we were treated to a continental breakfast; croissants, fresh bread, ham, jam and cheese, with an egg, and tea (or coffee), in the charming little glasshouse breakfast room, served by Christophe. As we packed our bags, later, a cuckoo started up, and we were really struck by the place’s excellent tranquil location. It was a lovely peaceful stopover in the drive through France, and we shall stay again. We thought the value, for what you had, was superb. PS - I noted from maps/suggested bicycle walks at the venue, it could be used as a convenient base to strike out for Biscarrosse and the Biscay beaches, which may be of use to others considering a stay here.

Cracking night’s stay in rural southern France, on the drive to Spain

Everything, the room, bed, bathroom. Situation was just off the main route, felt secure with passcode gates. Welcome was good and share of info was good. The garden was lovely, very spacious, with two gite units at the bottom. Breakfast was tasty, served in a glass conservatory. Back on the road at 8:30 after breakfast.

I stayed here for 1 night last week on my drive down to Spain. I did not get to know the name of the man who runs this B&B Gite but he could not have been more helpful & friendly. The room was really spacious with all amenities & nicely decorated in a rustic manner. The whole property is lovely & has gated car parking for up to 8 cars. The welcome notes mention that they can rustle you up a dinner if you want but I went to a local restaurant on the recommendation of the owner which was a great choice. The breakfast the following morning was excellent with a massive choice of breads & croissants, ham, cheese & eggs complete with coffee, tea & juices etc. This place is a really lovely stay so go & enjoy

FANTASTIC ACCOMMODATION, GREAT FRIENDLY SERVICE, BRILLIANT VALUE

We chose this place due to its closeness to the autoroute but were really pleased with what we found. We stayed in one of two gites on the site. It was modern, clean and kitted out to a high standard. The grounds are lovely and kept pristine with nice areas for sitting out and some garden games. The owners struck the right balance of being attentive and helpful but without being overwhelming. Their continental breakfast was great too. Very pleasant place to stay if visiting the lakes or coast or just as a stop over whilst traversing the country.

Everything a family run B&B should be

Christophe and Marie-Celine run an excellent B&B, and provide charming rooms in their main house, as well as two new-build gites in the large garden.

Breakfast was fantastic, and for dinner one night Christophe ran us to a local restaurant as the local taxi driver was unwell. Above and beyond the call of duty!
(And the restaurant was fantastic!)

Perfect for a large group of 7 Caterham 7 drivers.

First off this review is about the new gite that Christophe and his wife Marie-Celine have had built in the grounds of the hotel, so we cannot comment on the hotel/B&B itself.

The gite is absolutely delightful, quiet and peaceful, located at the rear of the hotel garden which is populated with fruit trees, bushes and a vegetable plot. It's more like a log cabin than a traditional gite, but nevertheless just as attractive and suitable for people like us who like their own space and freedom to come and go as you please over an extended period.
We rented for 3 weeks at a very reasonable price (bearing in mind this was high season in August), and would definitely recommend it as a base for exploring this beautiful part of France. It is easy to find - just a few minutes off the A63 Motorway.
The accommodation comprises kitchen/dining/living area, 2 bedrooms, bathroom with two sinks, sizeable shower, & separate toilet, utility closet with washing machine, patio area with picnic table and BBQ, so just about everything you will need, neatly packaged into just 375 Sq Ft. 
It does advertise as sleeping 5 (the seating in the living area is a sofa bed), but practically it is great for two people especially if you want an extended stay (We used the second bedroom for storing cases, clothes etc..)
Water and Electricity, good quality WIFI are included along with linens.
We loved our stay here and would thoroughly recommend it.
They are building a second identical gite next to the one we stayed in, but they told us this will not be finished for about another year, but if a large family group is looking for this kind of accommodation in the future you would be well advised to check it out.
