We have just returned from a four night stay at Loisy'Vete. From the correspondence I had with Lydie and Jacques prior to our stay, I knew that this was a unique place.  However, everything exceeded our expectations. The home is located in a small rural village, yet within easy driving distance to many of the beautiful sights that Burgundy has to offer. Jacques and Lydie are experts in the region, and gave us several valuable  tips about visiting the various attractions, including the local restaurant, "Le Loisy" which was one of the best in the area. The home and garden are impeccable. Breakfast is one of the best that we have ever had, and tailored towards personal taste. Lydie and Jacques quickly realized that we had a penchant for pastries, jams and breads! All the products are bio, and bought locally. They also have great suggestions for local wine. After visiting the sights each day, we were eager to return to Loisy'Vete to have a dip in the pool and a glass of wine. There are only two rooms in the property so we felt like we were in the seclusion of our own private home. Our room was in a separate guest house and beautifully decorated. The french linen sheets were so French! This is a very special place with extraordinary hosts!

Paradise in Southern Burgundy

We stayed in the cottage and had a great time. Accommodations are very cozy, Lydie and Jacques are charming hosts and breakfast is to die for. We left on foot and walked around the quiet countryside for an hour.
Rain kept us from walking to the local starred restaurant recommended by Lydie, so we drove there (less than 2 minutes !) and loved it.

Delightful overnight stay in the spring

I was looking for somewhere to stay on my drive back home and happily stumble across Loisy'veté.
What a find on the outskirts of the small village Loisy.
I drove up to the big red gate, rang the bell, and was buzzed in by Lydie, the gracious hostess. Inside the gate you are in another world.  My 'room' was a freestanding little maison, very cozy, very charming, with a modern bathroom, a try with an electric kettle, a choice of coffee and tea and some local biscuits. 
I arrived too late to use the pool but sat poolside to read for a little while. There's a large garden and a little pond in addition to the pool. 
The hosts called a nearby restaurant to make a reservation for me. 
It was really quiet at night and I slept like a log. 
The breakfast was amazing.  Coffee or tea, juice, homemade!! yogurt, local pastry, cheese, cold cuts, honey, jams, cereal, fruit. 

This is the perfect place to get away from it all, sit by the pool and read, or to explore the area. I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this B&B. It is an oasis. 

A gem

Lydie is a warm and attentive host. Our accomodation was in the attic, a huge bedroom room and lounge area - beautifully presented. Lovely bedlinen and furnishings.
The garden is lovely, there is a pool and spa pool.
Lydie recommended local restaurants, the local village one being fabulous and only a 10 minute walk.
Breakfast is amazing, best we had in 2 weeks.
