This complex made a welcome change from many camping/mobile home parks located in the Vendee region. Located about 800m from the beach the complex has 25 approx small houses catering for many family sizes or couple. The outdoor pool is attached to the reception area and was never very busy during the day. Accommodation is compact with the basic essentials for self catering, sheets & towels attract a separate charge. Bikes are available on site for hire with table tennis another option on site. As a mature couple we found the absence of waterslides, playgrounds, etc. a real bonus and ensured that we could enjoy some quality chillax time eating al fresco or playing cards. They were loads of families on site with children but most days they seemed to be at the beach. Good value for a week in August, a real find in the Vendee.

Quiet complex close to the beach

I visited Domains des Oyats with a friend in September for a week's holiday. I must say that the site and surrounding area provided one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. 

From the peacefulness and tranquility of the site pool and apartment verandas to the lively atmosphere on the beach and its surf club, Domains des Oyats has everything one needs for a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

I must make special mention of Oliver, the manager at Domaine des Oyats, who went over and above his duty to provide us with a wealth of information on local places to visit. He really helped to make it a great holiday.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Domaine des Oyats to anyone who is thinking of visiting this beautiful part of France.

 

Peaceful and Relaxing with Fantastic Service

Our stay was very pleasant, the house was really nice and the domain very nice and well maintained. Also we enjoyed the pool very much, very clean and tidy.
We found the surroundings excellent for bicycling, with stores, restaurants and markets close by.

My special gratitude goes out to the staff of Goelia Longeville s/Mer: you are very friendly, helpful and flexible. For example when packing my car, I had lost the tool I needed to fasten the bicycle rack: I went the reception to ask for help and within a few minutes the problem was solved! We are very happy with the  friendly service we received.

Also I am going to recommend this place to my family and friends, and maybe we shall return next year!

great place, great staff

This was a 3 week stay. We have stayed here on a number of previous occasions. We love the friendliness of the staff, the facilities available on site and close by and the peacefulness of the entire area. This is a great place to stay whether you are young or old, a solo traveller, a couple or a family. Le Domaine des Oyats et bien situé au coeur de La Vendée. 

Our annual summer holiday

We hired a house for 8/10 persons for a week in July 2014 and enjoyed our stay.  

+ points: clean, modern, equipment provided, restaurants and bars close by, garden areas well kept, swimming pool, roofed table tennis area.

- points: room sizes (too small!), not as calm as hoped (cars, air conditioning, neighbours), terraces and gardens are not enclosed enough, quite exposed to neighbours, additional costs (e.g. washing/drying, TV, bike hire) expensive, no childrens play area with swings, slide, etc.

The nearby beach "Les Conches" is nice but busy (many campsites nearby) so I would recommend driving to one of the other beaches along the coast (Le Rocher or La Tranche-sur-Mer).  The town of Longeville is quite pleasant with some shops, a big Casino supermarket, a couple of bars and a nice market on Mondays and Fridays.

I can recommend the bars and restaurants next to the residence which serve good food and drinks for reasonable prices.
