We love this hotel and visit every year in the first week of July. It is proper France. The rooms are comfortable and good value and the breakfasts excellent. The owner occupier and his wife are lovelly people.

Great Hotel

A basic hotel for an overnight stop but clean and quite with good food and service  ideal stopover on route too the landing beaches and beyond  not advisable weekends as  it seems too semi close down but mon too fri ideal

Good food and hospitatilty

Breaking a long drive with an overnight stop, La Croisiere provided more or less what we needed. There is ample parking, the room was comfortable and plenty big enough for our needs and the staff very helpful and friendly.

  We knew before booking that the dinner was a set menu du jour, three courses for 12€, very reasonable, Sadly we were too weary to fully enjoy and in our situation at this time, a light bite would have been more sensible choice.
   The hotel is only a few Km from both Yvetot and Caudebec en Caux, the former for the exceptional stained glass in the church and the latter on the Seine .

A Habdy Overnight Stop

We booked this hotel 'blind' from another well known internet booking site, therefore we set out from Dieppe not knowing what to expect. We needn't have worried this Hotel is a real gem!

I say 'Quirky' as the sea must be miles (kilometers as it's France) away from the hotel, yet the theme of the Hotel is that of a ship?

Putting the theme to one side for a moment; the booking and reception was straightforward. The greeting was very friendly and the details of what was on offer and how to access the Hotel when the desk wasn't manned (most of the time!!!) went very smoothly.

The room itself was well equipped to French standards; clean room, clean bathroom, clean towels, and importantly a comfortable bed. Although small to our own bed, it was none the less well sprung, giving us a good nights sleep. Road noise can be heard, but unlike main roads in the UK the traffic was light so the noise was not THAT bad.

The bathroom was very clean, especially the shower. When we came to use the shower we were delighted to find it very easy to use, and it was a very good 'Power' shower. Plenty of hot water which was welcome after a sticky ferry crossing and subsequent drive to the hotel.

The next morning we turned up to breakfast (optional extra) which was a well stocked buffet. There was everything you'd expect for 'Petite déjeuner', gallons of juice and coffee. Also the toast, buns, and jams were plentiful. My wife went for the healthy option; yogurt and fruit of which there were lots! Very satisfied with the provided breakfast.

Lastly; the hotel has a pair of Terriers as guard-dogs; Smooth Fox Terriers. Both were very friendly enjoying all the attention we gave them.

A quirky 'Gem' off the D131

The hotel tries to recall the atmosphere of a cruise liner, but achieves only a poor imitation, giving an unpleasant feeling of cheap and past glory. Maybe it was due to the fact that the hotel was almost empty when we visited it, but it felt 'uncomfortable'. From the entry at reception until the breakfast of the next moring, service was friendly but unprofessional at the same time. The hotel gives a bit an impression that people may use it, just to stay a few hours, to do something totally different then enjoying the view. Or to stay over after having spend the evening at the banquet hall. But we slept well, had a proper breakfast and went on to our next visits.
