On arriving in Calais we drove down to Moulineaux  to book into our pre booked chateau hotel. Our first impression was shock,  as it is a very old building in need of much repair, the owner greeted us and we were show to our room at the top of rickety stairs, the rook was big enough with a small kitchen, the best bit was the shower room, nice and big.
If you have children beware on the large window which open from knee length to near ceiling height, dangerous for little ones.
My wife fount it pretty dusty and dirty in places. I had a good night sleep but my wife was up waiting to see if Morticia and Gomez arrive.

If you are into the "Adams Family " then this is for you.

This isn't really a chateau, more a run down damp old house. It was great value at 55 euros for 3 of us for one night, including an extra bed. Unfortunately our room was so damp at the end of July our sheets felt soggy and it needed a good clean. There was a little kitchen, but it was shared between a lot of people, so we ate out.

Dusty, damp and dirty

Magnificent ruin of a chateau partly renovated, but not yet (ever?) ready for paying guests. Friendly welcome. 
Very uneven and rickety stairs - this is an accident waiting to happen! Bed was damp and one of those horrible musty cheap memory foam things. Extremely noisy throughout the night with traffic, even with the window closed, which was also unpleasant on a hot night. Shared bathroom was too small, shower was rubbish and was disgustingly dirty. Shared toilet was too small with sqint seat and again, very dirty. We avoided using the kitchen. No sign of the promised wifi.
Even the lowish price could not justify how bad this place is. 
At least it's an interesting building, but that doesn't help get a restful night's sleep. 

Don't be fooled by the lowish price - it's not worth it!

We booked this hostel for our speleotrip just for shower and to sleep. We're not afraid of a little dirt. But in this chateau it's not able to sleep! The walls are full of mould the showers are very dirty. We slept in our closed because we are afraid to get strange diseases

Worlds dirtiest hostel

The map location given is completely wrong-they claim Google's fault. Overlooks a used car lot.  The decor is horrible, the equipment likewise, it's dirty, WiFi inadequate, they demand cash on arrival.
