Magic place to be whit your beloved ,warm and kind host

What a gem of a find this B & B offers comfort in a bygone era beautiful charm with very personal welcome by Oliver, lovely to have a dip in the pool after a long drive, very close to the town for evening meal. Had a good night sleep in a very comfortable  bed & a delicious breakfast with homemade jams cakes & yogurt!

We stayed here for a night on the way south, because we wanted something different!
We found it (!) and very charming it was too!
Oliver is a very personable host, and he makes you very welcome.
It is a little difficult to find, so be sure to do your homework first. When you pull up outside and ring his bell, he needs to open the massive iron gates to let you in and then open another set to park the car!
But it all works.
For a night of medieval atmosphere this will take some beating! It you want modern surroundings - then this is not for you! We loved it and the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast was superb and very personal. I would stay again and again!

old world charm

Incredible building, truly beautiful environment and homemade bread, pancakes and jam for breakfast.  Definitely worth a visit.  Friendly, helpful and considerate hosts.  Lucon is a great place to stop for a couple of nights and Demeure Valeau Du Rivage is the place to stay.

A nice stay . Only couple as end of season . Lovely room ! Breakfast was lovely with plentiful of fresh food ! Large bathroom with toiletries. Able to park motorcycle securely at the rear of the property with no charge
