The Bordeaux probably used to be a traditional old-fashioned hotel - one of the Logis de France - but they have clearly invested a lot to bring the décor and facilities up to modern standards. Perhaps it is a bit too clinical - but certainly clean and well-equipped. Another reviewer complained of the emergency lighting keeping the room too lit up, and I too had a problem with this. Otherwise, very comfortable, pleasant reception staff. The restaurant was also excellent with attentive and enthusiastic staff; good value. The night we were there was Sunday and the town was very quiet, but there were other local diners in that night, a good sign.
