We spent two nights here, the bed was extremely comfortable and the owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was large with a good sized bathroom, very quiet location. We would stay here again... thank you very much!

Charming house, lovely owner 

I was a bit wary to book this property on booking.com after reading some of the reviews, but we didn't have any problems at all. The owners are a charming retired couple, they were very helpful, lent us  maps and guidebooks to the area, and between my limited French and their English (not perfect but better than my French) we managed to have a nice chat.  We had a 3 person suite on top with a large separate kitchen, charming country-style with sloping ceilings and beams. The only drawback was that there was of course no air conditioner, and the windows were small, but with a fan at night we were fine. However, in hotter weather (July/August) I would probably avoid this specific room. Other rooms seem to have large windows and the night air was cool and fresh, so shouldn't be a problem. I would also advise the owners to put the name of the property somewhere on the house or gate, I had to ask the neighbor to make sure this is the house. If we ever revisit this beautiful part of France, we would be happy to stay here again. Oh, and the price is very reasonable too.

Charming house in a nice little town.

The best place we have stayed in. It is a former abbey built in the 15th century - beautifully restored and tastefully furnished. Our room was large and comfortable, with a separate large well equipped shower /loo and with our own balcony. The delightful owner was keen to share his garden and drawing room with us. Breakfast was very good, the free wi-fi was excellent and there was good free parking to the rear of the house. There was an excellent restaurant a few minutes walk away. I cannot think of any negative points. 

The best place we have stayed

The women who owns this establishment is rude and unhelpful and I would no way recommend staying here. Upon arrival, the owners at first denied our booking. When a mistake was realised we were shooed off the property with no apology. The booking requires a wire transfer deposit and cash payment which frankly seems dodgy and I was happy to of had to stay somewhere else.

Huge disappointment, rude owner!!!

If you are intending to stay at this establishment make sure your booking is secure as the owners are unreliable.  I arrived at this establishment late one evening to be told that me and my family had no bed for the night. After 500 kms journey and and arriving at Au Clos des Remparts I was looking forward to a restful evening and an enjoyable 5 days in the Pyrenesse. However on arrival the patron of the Au Clos des Remparts denied the existence of my booking (made 6 months earlier through Booking.com) and although I was able to produce my confirmation receipt, the owners were unhelpful and totally unsympathetic to our circumstances, telling me they were full, and quickly ushered me and my family off the premises. There was no appreciation for our situation or any offer to resolve our immediate situation. Luckily the owner of Les Templiers who was very helpful managed to find us a bed for the night at the Panoramic just outside of Luz Saint Sauveur which I can recommend. 

To anyone wishing to stay in Luz Saint Sauveur I would look to stay somewhere that runs their business in a professional manner and who looks after their clients. Please not payment terms. My advise is "Don't book here".
