We loved staying here!  Catherine made us welcome and gave us good advice on sights and restaurants, based on our interests.  Comfortable bed, very quiet room, new bathroom with modern shower.  Continental breakfast was exactly what we'd hoped for.  She let us use her parking spot in a nearby locked garage (our fairly small rental car just fit) for a small extra fee - overnight parking is evidently hard to come by in Vieux Lyon, and parking tickets are quite expensive there. We would definitely stay with Catherine again!

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days trip with two teenage daughters. Catherine was very welcoming, provided us with lot of nice advises and prepared very tasty breakfast with home-made jams, baguette, croissants, cheeses, fruits and more! The two bed-rooms are very convenient for families of 4-5 people, very comfortable and well centrally located at the center of the old town Lyon. A great experience to live the French way of life!


Beautiful and welcoming 'Old Town Lyon'

We agree with the positive reviews on Catherine's B&B.  This review is written from the perspective and experience with many many B&B stays across Southern Europe over about 10 trips.  After visiting the big cities on our first trips, we now prefer the countryside B&B's, Agriturismo's, or very small and highly-rated hotels.  We do not visit Europe only to stay in a big American-owned hotel.
Catherine offers very helpful guidance on sights to see, good non-touristy restaurants, best photo spots, and advice on the weather, if questionable.  The large room is very adequate...we enjoyed having the extra bed to place our large suit cases on.  Enjoyed the location and ability to come & go early or late for photography. My only slight disappointment was the breakfast.  During this trip, we stayed in 8 different properties across southern France, all B&B's except for short stays at 2 small hotels.  All of the B&B's offered a more complete breakfast....sliced fresh fruit, a wider variety of pastries including gluten-free when requested, meats, and eggs at a few places.  Catherine could easily provide a more extensive breakfast, even if the rate needs to be increased a bit.  Otherwise, this is a quiet location with a convenient elevator, modern bathroom, and very up to date and clean.

We visited La Grange de Fourviere in the end of march 2018 and we really enjoyed it!

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. The stay was even better than we could have expected as the B&B turned out to be really clean, nicely furnished, excellent breakfast (mostly home made, a big star for that) and best of all, Madame Schilling being the most wonderful guide to Lyon City and its restaurants!

We parked our fairly big car in the convenient garage close by, having a safe place for it behind a closed door.

On the day of our departure we felt pampered and with a feeling of needing to return!

Wonderful B&B!, Ihana B&B!

Four nights, four breakfasts.  We had a full schedule (family, friends, class reunion), but it was oh so pleasant sharing the breakfast table with Catherine, our landlady.  She supplied not only a lavish continental buffet, but also lots of practical information (maps, guides, restaurant recommendations).  The B&B is very centrally-located, a stone's throw from a walkway over the Saône river into the heart of Lyon.  Buses and trains are abundant in the neighborhood of the Gare St. Paul, and Vieux Lyon and its cobbled streets are close by.  Really, a home to return to, next time we're in Lyon.
