It was a bit difficult to find because of the works in the road. But what a surprise! 
Good sleep and excellent food ! A perfect suggestion . Neef I say more?

Hotel de Sees is a family run hotel with friendly welcoming service and a lovely restaurant with excellent food .Just what you need at the end of a long drive .We stopped off here for the second year en route to & from the Charente region .A great place and space to unwind and restore ready for the on ward journey.

A relaxing & restorative stopover destination in this lovely family run hotel -just what you need 

The three course meal was tasty and was cooked well. Elegant dining room. The staff were friendly. The room with a comfortable king size bed was quite big, there was a tea and coffee tray, but I would have liked some milk with my coffee, I should have asked. The hotel is pretty from the outside and is in a lovely quiet countryside setting yet not far from the motorway.

It was a convenient and comfortable stay on our drive to Dordogne.

We have stayed here on many occasions and  have always enjoyed it. This year was no different. It is always lovely to arrive at l'île de Sées, knowing that our room will be nice and calm, our meal beautifully cooked and more important: we are going to be very well looked after.
In spite of the difficult circunstances they now have to work in, Paul and Julie are always ready with a smile, and nothing is too much trouble. 
I would highly recomend this hotel, it is well worth the detour

Excellent stay

Stayed 2 nights in this magical hotel in a beautiful setting off the beaten track. Julie & Paul are very welcoming and attentive, creating an atmosphere where you feel able to immediately relax and enjoy your stay. Gardens are beautiful & we the view from the room was lovely. Dinner was outstanding- every dish on every course we tried was superb & delicious. The food alone is worth a detour here. Would highly recommend it! 

Beautiful hotel in magical setting, amazing food

Lovely welcome from the young couple working hard to build up what I am sure will be a great business - and is already a delight. If you prefer quiet, unflashy, traditional places to stay, with a modern attitude to life - this is the place for you. All the public rooms are delightful. Our bedroom was on the small side - but everything worked and we slept well. The food was really good - a cut above what we expected from the modest prices. For us, this was a great find and we will return. Perfectly located three hiurs drive from Cherbourg. And a stone's throw from the most beautiful chateau in France - Chateau d'O.

Friendly, family country inn - highly recommended.

Very nice place to stay (in the middle of the country side, peacefull place, for relax), really good french cousine and wine at a reasonable price. Available personnel. Rooms are large and confortable.



Lovely

Just perfect: the location is half way between the Dordogne and the Channel ports, so a perfect overnight stay for weary travellers.  A tranquil setting, with private parking (essential for a car loaded with Bergerac wine!)  Rooms are quirky, but clean with fresh white bed linens and a good bathroom and hot shower. Dinner is delightful - choice of freshly cooked dishes, served in a pretty restaurant and a good wine list. It was cool the night we dined, and the log fire had been lit, which added to the ambience. We had a restful night, then a delicious French breakfast. 
We have stayed at I’ile de Sées many times, and always enjoyed the sense of humour of Nicholas - but we were delighted to meet Paul & Julie, who are just as welcoming. We can recommend this hotel as a great overnight stay, and we will return.

Perfect place to stay

A really good Logis..Comfortable rooms. Well stocked bar and a good restaurant serving regional food. Friendly owners and a very relaxed environment. Ample parking Recommended.  10 mins from the centre of Sees and close to access for Jcnt 16 A 88 autoroute.

In the heart of the countryside.....

A really nice hotel set in beautifully maintained large gardens.  We were made very welcome by the couple running the hotel, who both spoke perfect English. Our room was clean and tidy in the attic space.  A after banging my head a couple of times I learnt to stay on the higher side of the room. For a one night stay our room was very nice with a good free WiFi supplied. Our evening meal in the hotel restarant was nice, probably room for a little improvement but value for money>  We did not stay for breakfast.  A very nice hotel in a beautiful situation.  We would stay here again.
