We picked this B&B because the website was completely in French and it didn't appear on any British B&B websites that I could see. We were fantastically rewarded for this; upon arrival (past a corn field down a winding track into a hidden valley), we were greeted by Hubert in French, and immediately ushered into the kitchen/dining room of his renovated farmhouse. Next to a fireplace that covered the entire end wall, we sat on an old wooden bench and sipped some of his excellent home-made cider. The meal that night was home-cooked galette done on an open fire, with home-made pommeau and wine from his friend. We immediately felt like old friends with Hubert and Marie-Claude, they are extremely welcoming and friendly. The conversations were all in (my broken) French, which made the experience even more authentic, although Marie-Claude does speak enough English to get by if you can't speak French. They run a small holding with a few B&B rooms, Hubert (a former baker) makes his own bread in an oven outside and they have a cow, a sheep, some ducks and hens etc and of course the full vegetable garden. Breakfast is rustic home made bread with home made jam, not fancy but I liked that about it. The rooms are spacious and very recently done up; we stayed in the 2 person double which has an en suite bathroom and toilet. The farmhouse is located in a peaceful valley far away from noise and busy traffic, but is still very close for visiting Fougere and Mont St Michel. We had an excellent three days exploring the northern coast and the area around Fougere. The only bad point I can think of was that as it was September and the season was turning, we were actually rather cold at night even with the extra blanket. But this in no way dampened what was an excellent stay at an authentic French farmhouse hosted by a family who make you feel like long-lost friends from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended.

A true French farmhouse experience

Fantastic place "IN" the nature: no traffic, no noices, only animal voices. 
Hubert and Marie Claude are fantastic hosts, you may feel really at home. 
We arrived quite late in the evening, very tired, they told us the make also "table d'haute", and it was a fantastic experience to eat at the same table with them as old friends in a beautiful dinner room with a handmade dinner prepared with ingredients of their vegetable garden, with butter made with milk from their cow, bread handmade by Hubert..ALL handmade. 
It was a fantastic atmosphere that will remain in our heart.
Clean, big house with 14 beds, external space to play, close to Fougeres and Highway to reach bigger town.
There should be also a pool but we did'n see it (maybe closed in our period). Ideal for families with children and people looking for relax and nature.

Beautiful place, fantastic people

We picked this b&b due to its vicinity to Fougeres and its magnificent castle, and on the whole we quite appreciated it.  The rooms were really new, and everything was extremely clean and spotless.  The place itself is in the middle of nowhere, but the countryside it belongs to is really nice and (to our Italian eyes...) quintessential "French".
