My third year at Maumont and I am already planning my fourth! This really is a lovely place to stay - the rooms are delightful (I have had a different one each time and all are of a similarly high standard), the pool area is sheltered and inviting, the garden is lovely and there is a quiet ambiance throughout. The owners and staff all are charming and most helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is ample secure parking right outside and the Chateau is only a 15 minute taxi ride from the town of Angouleme where there are lots of good restaurants and bars. No negatives!
