I'm so glad we stayed in this intimate, quiet and peaceful property during our Ryder Cup visit, rather than staying a big, impersonal hotel.

Our hosts were very helpful in telling me where I could hike and visit, while my husband went to the golf tournament.  I would have been lost without them.  Instead I had some of the best moments of my life walking in the beautiful countryside, and visiting the Chateau de Breteuil.  They were able to give me a ride to the starting point of my walks, and the area has a surprisingly good Uber service to get me back to the inn at the end.  The GPS on the Maps app in my cell phone, together with a topographical map loaned by the hosts, kept me from getting too lost.

I liked the group dining with the other guests, usually a small group.  Almost everyone was able to speak english, to some degree,  I was happy to be able to try out my french in a small group of native speakers.  Speaking to other Europeans around a communal table was an experience I would never have had anywhere else, and did at lot to make the trip memorable.  The food was very good, home cooked right on site.  It was served in the french style, with salad and a delicious cheese selection following the entree.  Then there was dessert after that (so save room).  The baked white fish was some of the best I've had anywhere.  The wines were decent and not overpriced.  

The decor was a little quirky, but the room was pleasant and comfortable.  It was certainly more interesting and more personal than just another sterile chain hotel.  We slept well, and there was plenty of hot water.

I would recommend staying here if you want to really experience the french countryside and lifestyle.

Very helpful to me for finding walking trails in this beautiful area

Very well appointed, clean room with a nice view of the countryside. The room is an excellent size and we could easily have fit three in the room so if you were looking for a family room this would work. The shower sprays water all over the floor in front, be sure to use the mat.  Breakfast was typically French and ample and quite delicious.  We needed breakfast on the second morning at 8 am and were told that might be difficult, though not sure why. There isn't very much in this little town, but if you are looking for peace and quiet this is a great place to stay.  We stayed here in order to tour Versailles, without having to stay in the city, which is about a 20-minute drive away.

Lovely B and B

Mme Bonassies and her family are very welcoming hosts. I returned after five years and it was better than ever. The location is very quiet, the rooms large and comfortable with very good showers. We had a lovely evening meal with other guests 'en famille' and an excellent breakfast with home-made pancakes, preserves and breads, far more than we could eat. The location, green and peaceful, is close to Versailles and the beautiful Chevreuse valley, and obviously not far from Paris.

Great hospitality

This was our second stay but this time in the 'Little House'. This has three double bedrooms, a small kitchen, a bathroom, shower and entrance lobby that doubles as a dining area. The dining area has hard seats. Bedrooms have great Velux windows. We stayed on a BandB basis and had evening meals on two nights - which were very nice. The hosts are very pleasant and our daughter loved the place too. The 'house' could do with a bit of modernisation in the bathroom and kitchen to make the areas more useable, particularly the kitchen if anyone is staying on a rent a cottage basis. The bedrooms are lovely. The family are excellent in their hospitality.

Great Country Location

We were part of a group who were visiting the Yvelines & Essone and stayed at this B&B for two nights as part of our tour. 

The room was very comfy, very tastefully decorated and clean. King size bed, tea/coffee available in the room, free wifi and nice breakfast with a wide choice of jams and fresh home made bread.

The dinners were correct both times, some dishes definitely better than others but very good nonetheless. Obviously, this is a table d'hôte, so there is no choice and I wouldn't advise you to go for this if you are fussy eaters. 

Overall a very nice address for a weekend retreat.
