This was a fabulous vacation! The Farm house was so comfortable with great sized rooms and bathrooms, a beautiful pool, large wonderful kitchen and eating areas inside and out. Katherine was wonderful in all her help with arranging reservations, having transportation available, and her cooking was amazing!! Her contacts for wine tasting were wonderful!  She was a fabulous host ready and willing to help make our France experience the very best!! You will love this special place!!

Look no further for the perfect place in the center of Burgundy!! Katherine’s farmhouse is beautifully updated, clean and so comfortable! All bedrooms have their own bathrooms, space to gather in a great room, a gourmet kitchen, spacious patio and a pool!! Katherine is a talented chef and host. She is very connected to the area and can make reservations, recommendations, set tours and give tours! And cook gourmet meals for you! Thank you, Katherine!!

We traveled with three couples from America to stay at La Ferme de la Lochère as a part of a wonderful vacation with Carol @ delectabledestinations.com.  The farmhouse was so comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated.  Katherine’s cooking was amazing and her hospitality was exceptional.  The countryside was so beautiful and made for a beautiful week.  It was a great location for day trips to explore the area.  Katherine and Carol, you’re amazing!

Katherine is amazing!

Just returned from an incredible trip to Burgundy with my family, consisting of three generations. The pictures of the barn conversion on the website looked amazing but my expectations were completely surpassed. Entering into a grand hallway with floods of light, you are met by a beautiful stone stairway leading to a mezzanine with offshoots of bedrooms. The space is immense but somehow the owner, Katherine, has managed to achieve a warm and welcoming feel. I audibly gasped as I travelled from room to room, in awe of the elegant decor and attention to detail. My favourite room had to be the kitchen which has always been centre to our family gatherings. It is obvious that Katherine is an expert in all things culinary, as the array of kitchenware was extensive and she kindly has a good stock of cupboard staples. You really couldn't ask for more and when you meet Katherine in person, her passion for cooking and knowledge of food and local markets is remarkable. We all had a good read of her cookbook too and agreed that next time we stay (there definitely will be a next time!) we would love to cook and shop with her. I can't recommend this place enough, it was perfect for my family in every way. Thank you Katherine for being such a delightful hostess.

Spectacular stay at La Ferme De La Lochere

Weeks before we arrived at the farmhouse, Katherine, owner and chef, helped us prepare and tailor our week's stay in La Ferme De La Lochere according to our preference.  We, 6 adults (three couples), drove from Paris, got lost on the way to Marigny (the town), and Katherine was with us on the phone until our late arrival. She greeted us with so much warmth and a perfect light supper, we immediately felt at home. Throughout the week she provided us with suggestions for places to visit and to eat. She was available just enough for our needs.

The farmhouse, a medieval building turned into a guest house by Katherine, is a perfect place from where to explore Burgundy, or relax and enjoy the town and the surrounding. Katherine keeps bikes on site, there is a swimming pool, and a nice backyard.The bedrooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms and all amenities. 

The welcome dinner and wine tasting were fantastic. It is obvious that Katherine loves to cook. She is also very good at it. In fact, we were so grateful for her perfect hospitality, that we hosted our host in her farmhouse and cooked dinner for her one evening. 

We had a wonderful time already recommended La Ferme De La Lochere to friends.

A Wonderful Week in October at La Ferme De La Lochere

we have a wonderful stay at Le Ferme De La Lochere.  Chef Katherine was amazing to work  and cook.  Super fun trip, we had a 7 course dinner, cooking class, wine tasting and so many fun day trips.  the pictures of the property, do not do it justice.  the 5 rooms are super spacious and the bathrooms are grand.  I loved looking out the cows and farm land.  We all had an amazing time.  I would make sure that you buy her book on amazon before going.  you will want to take notes and have her sign it for you.    we are waiting to book are next trip back.  Excellent trip, I would go here.  Also she has an outdoor pool.  We did not go it in, due it being a bit cool on our trip.  But It looked very inviting.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a self catered venue, however Katherine is there as much as you would like her to be or as little.  The welcome dinner was outstanding as was our cooking class.  The canals of Burgundy are just a few minutes walk from the farmhouse and with bikes on the property, it makes for a wonderful afternoon to take in the scenery and even a picnic lunch.  We traveled with 4 other couples and we all had an experience that will long be remembered.

Unbelievable setting in the heart of the Burgundy countryside

We visited La Femme de la Rochere at the end of March because that was Spring Break for our grandchildren, ages 11 and 13. Their cousins, who are the same ages, were also "along for the ride". With four parents, four children, and two grandparents, we filled the house while never feeling crowded. 
The home is lovely, with each of the five bedrooms having its own large bathroom. There is a huge kitchen and a living room/dining room that had lots of room for comfortable hanging out. 

Katherine, the owner, lives next door and was a big help with planning our trip and during our visit. In addition to giving us advice for grocery shopping and local restaurants, Katherine tried to heat up the pool for the children. It was a little too chilly for this to work, but we appreciated that she tried. The cooking class with Katherine was a big hit with children and adults. I was impressed with how easily Katherine engaged the children in the learning process. The wine tasting she arranged was fun and informative. 

The area around the home contains many more sites than there is actually time to see. We spent part of most days exploring, but we were always happy to return to our "home" at the end of the day for rest and local walks and bike rides.
