If you are looking for something special, some sort of an extraordinary tasty stylish Hotel this is it. I know about style, design and architecture and I appreciate the work by this nice couple a lot. Had a nice stay there the second year in a row. Thank you L'Atelier.

Extraordinary tasty stylish Hotel

We (family of four) stayed here for a couple of nights.  It's extremely elegant and imaginatively furnished. We had a 'suite', which was in fact just a very large room (number 10).  Beautiful minimal shabby-chic furnishings and subtle colours (loved the painted concrete floor).   Some nice touches e.g. Aesop bath products and air-conditioning.  Pool tiny but much enjoyed. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, great lamb tagine, not so great quinoa salad.

Overall: 5/5 for the decor and general ambiance, 2/5 for the feeling that we were being charged the maximum possible for everything.

This would be a great place for a romantic weekend a deux, not so much for a family.

Beautiful, stylish hotel

We loved the Atelier with its quirky design and its range of unusual spaces from the salon to the breakfast room and the pool terrace.... our welcome was warm and attentive and our rooms were beautiful. The owners are a stylist and a publisher and it shows through in all the little touches. We had a very good dinner which was also quite unconventional but delicious. We were only able to stay one night but would have loved to explore more around the village.

Very quirky and chic and a complete surprise in the sleepy town of Marsanne

Our first stay at L’Atelier was formidable. A haven of peace in a lovely area of France just 40 minutes from the TGV Valence and 20 minutes from Montelimar. The bright, airy spaces, elegant and trendy interior, relaxed atmosphere and lovely setting in the heart of Marsanne, have made us come back each year for the past four years. A lovely place to lock yourself up and write a book, spend time together, or as a base for exploring the area by bike or car. The kitchen is particular, with a clear focus on healthy eating. If you’re not into quinoa, there are lots of nice places in the area and the owners are happy to make suggestions. A very special place that has stolen my heart.

Stole my heart

We spent four nights at L'Atelier using it as a base to cycle around the area.  The hotel is in the centre of Marsanne a really attractive and beautifully situated village.  The hotel was extremely comfortable, the staff very pleasant.  Our room could not be faulted having its own terrace overlooking the roofs of the old village as they meander up the hill. The small pool was adequate to cool off in after the long bike rides.  The well appointed room had excellent air conditioning which can be essential as it can get very hot there.  Breakfast is excellent, the evening meal dining is not what I would describe as traditional French fare and we were looking for something a bit more substantial, but that said it was different and a fun change to some excellent restaurants we found in other villages nearby.  All in all we had a great break and are thinking of returning to continue our exploration.
