We stayed three nights at the Domaine du Buc for an enjoyable stay in a very special place. Brigette, the hostess, has maintained the property to high standards – fitting to the historical legacy as well as modern requirements.  The house is full of charming antiques and vintage treasures, most from Brigette’s family who have held the house for generations..  We appreciated the use of the shared kitchen, it enabled us to enjoy simple evening meals at our leisure. Breakfasts were excellent – fresh fruit and bread, local jams, eggs from Brigette’s chicken, local cheeses and charcuterie. Brigette’s warmth made us feel welcome as guests in her home. The domaine is simply delightful –charming in every aspect, very peaceful and tranquil.

Special place to stay

What a lovely property. Such a great relaxing stay and great breakfast. The property is beautiful and it was great to just walk out the back and be in the countryside. The host looked after all of our needs. 

Lovely relaxing stay

Lovely old family home with lots of charm yet modernised for all comfort. Brigitte made us most welcome and in fact we felt as if we were personal guests in her home. Spacious room with lovely views, quiet, easy parking onsite, plenty of places to sit outside and swimming pool too. Excellent breakfast, kitchen for guests with fridge and everything necessary to prepare snack meals plus plentiful tomatoes from the garden. Large very comfortable bed meant we slept well. Highly recommend this place - we couldn't fault it!

Wonderful weekend

Our large group of couples and friends rented the entire castle for one week to follow the Tour de France, ride, and explore all that the area had to offer. Brigitte, the owner,  was helpful in every way possible from answering our questions (i.e finding the best place in Albi to watch Bastille Day fireworks to learning the history of the property and the area) to accommodating our requests (i.e. arranging for a private chef to come in and cook for our very large group to providing us a place to store our bikes.). The property was spacious and the rooms were large, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We also greatly enjoyed and made good use of the garden and pool!

Charming castle with friendly and accommodating host!

We spent three nights with Brigitte at the wonderful Domaine du Buc. From the moment  we arrived Brigitte made us feel at home with her kindness , recommendations ( especially the restaurant le table de Marie ) and help. The house is amazing with so much history and warm personality and the grounds are stunning , it is difficult to leave to explore nearby beautiful Albi and surrounding villages. We were given a private tour of the pigeonairre by the lovely Phillip and our only disappointment is that we didn’t stay longer. Can’t wait to return

Magical

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here, it is a very nice old house, in a very lovely setting.  We much appreciated the use of the shared kitchen, it enabled us to enjoy the evenings at the property, with long summer evenings, peace and space for all guests. 

Very nice Chambre d'hôtel

Blissful stay at this fascinating chateau about 10 mins drive from Albi. The minute we arrived (early)Brigitte welcome us so warmly we felt we had come to the house of an old friend! The house is full of charming antiques and vintage treasures, most of which come from Brigitte's grandparents. The rooms were lovely, and so comfortable and quiet that we slept incredibly well. Brigitte was able to give us "table d'hote" dinner on the terrace for 2 nights of our stay which was delicious.  Thank you also to Philippe who cooked us delicious eggs for breakfast. We would return here in a heartbeat,( and hope to someday). Merci, Brigitte

Great B &B, with lots of family history set in it on grounds, lovely comfortable bed, with a wonderful breakfast that sets you up for the day. Only 9 kilometres from the beautiful city of Albi with lots to see and do.

Brigette, the owner, is friendly, very helpful and easy to talk to. 
The 17th century chateau has been beautifully restored over the last 10 years, is bright, has a homely feel and is clean and tidy throughout.
We were upgraded, our bed room was lovely, a great view of the extensive grounds, a very comfortable bed and probably the best shower we’ve ever used.
Brigette provided wine on arrival which we took on one of the terraces. We were lucky enough to be the only guests that night so virtually had the chateau to ourselves.
Our plan was to have a picnic of bread, cheese and wine etc in the grounds, but weather was not favourable. Instead we used the fully functioning guest kitchen to make a simple meal, Brigette offered that we could eat wherever ie: the kitchen table, dining room, one of the terraces or anywhere outside.
Breakfast was plentiful and taken in the dining hall.
We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation and considered it fantastic  value.

Wonderful experience and great value!

We have just returned from visiting this lovely chateau . It has been in the family for a few hundred years and the owner has restored it beautifully . Brigitte is very warm and friendly and helpful with suggesting places to go and to eat. 
The breakfast was superb with eggs , ham cheese yoghurt , cereal and of course croissants
The bedroom was spacious and beautifully furnished with a very large modern shower and we never heard any of our fellow guests . The kitchenette could. E useful if you wished to prepare any meals or drinks and we made tea on the terrace when we returned from visiting Albi. A very relaxing stay and highly recommended.
