We spent 3 nights here while using the Loire a  velo  cycle routes. Friendly welcome and good facilities. I think this would be a lovely site to visit with young children. The children's entertainer was working hard during our stay. A mix of sunny and shady pitches. We chose a shady one which was a mistake as mornings and evenings were very cool. Our one issue with this site was that the washblock is open to the elements, so its impossible to take a warm shower on a cool breezy day. It was also necessary to walk past the very visible urinals to reach the hand basins.

Pleasant campsite I  ri ermine location

On the whole a good site, generous pitch size with clean facilities and friendly staff. The following are just for awareness. Great for local cycling. 

There is road and rail noise that infringes the site on still summer evenings. 
Toilets and showers are mixed with cubicles for showers and toilets but men’s urinals in full view.
Chemical toilet station for emptying is inside the toilet block.
We suffered with noise from a local music festival until 4am.
Swimming pool is offsite but just a stroll away - plenty of beds, a little tired around the edges and not supervised but water is clean and heated to a good temperature.
Onsite bar is expensive.

A couple of things to be aware of

We stayed for 6 nights in half term in our caravan, family with 2 children aged 8 and 6.  We had a fabulous time.  it was quiet when we stayed so we could pick our pitch.  The couple that run the campsite are friendly and helpful.  We ordered bread/croissants for each morning.  There was a bouncy castle that the kids spent most of their time on.  

The swimming pool is a bit strange, across the road - they could build a decent path to it as we had to walk across a muddy bit, but once there, it was heated and fabulously warm.  The weather wasn't that kind to us so this was a huge bonus.

Great cycling in the vicinity - we cycled both each and west along the Loire to the next villages.

Would highly recommend.

Lovely friendly campsite

Our welcome at this site was really good with lots of information forthcoming from the staff. Our pitch was of a good size with water and electricity on pitch. 
The facilities were very good and kept in a good state of cleanliness. On site there was a nice sized heated swimming pool which again, was kept very clean.
All was going well until a large party of schoolchildren arrived for a summer camp. There were about thirty something of them, together with some staff. On the first day they arrived, we were in the swimming pool when all the children descended on mass with two or three teachers/helpers. It was pandemonium with the children behaving badly and without a care for much younger children and adults who were already in the pool. We left and went to the reception where staff told us that in future the schoolchildren would only go to the pool in staggered groups of ten. This did not happen whilst we were there.
As the days went along, the bad behaviour of these schoolchildren was getting progressively worse and they were becoming more confident about their bad behaviour. They seemed to be able to behave badly without challenge.
This was very sad to see and can only surmise that the summer camp was because of the high season.
It was a good thing that we were only staying four nights because had we booked any longer we would have left in any case.

Very good........ but

We have made a visit to this site several times over the last three years and will continue to return.  Stays have always been out of main season.  Facilities are spotless and cleaned regularly.  Pitches are large and have an option of full, mixed or no shade.  English is spoken and all staff are very pleasant and give good advice about the area.  Beautiful cycle rides from the site along the river.
A new bar area was added in 2017 which also provide simple food as well as drinks.  The swimming pool is across the road, though this is a back road to the village so is not very busy and has speed bumps. Very pleasant pool.  Village is an easy walk from the site.

Clean facilities and large pitches

Nice size pitches although some could do with tidying up, hedge trimming , grass cutting etc. The facilities were mixed , clean. Great value at 15 euros a night . We were there in Sept and although the site is open until mid Oct the pool was closed. Easy access to the Loire about 200 yds away. Reception staff friendly. Only intended staying a couple of nights but ended up staying for 1 week, paid for 6 nights as 7th night was free.
