Not the most obvious gem on the zloire Velo route and on the wrong side of the town I.E over the bridge from the town. However the restaurant gives a clue to this place being a real find. We arrived at 1400 on a random Wednesday in June and the restaurant inside and on the terrace was buzzing with customers. We ate in the restaurant at 1930. By 2000 there were at least 35 people dining - probably 2/3rds full. Quite an achievement and I’m sure one based solely on reputation.  Quiche, Roast Chicken and a cheese course. All excellent and all for €19!!! Also had a great bottle of local wine - restaurant price €33. Supermarket price €25. Brilliant value. Moving on to the rooms and they are very well appointed- air conditioning, good bathroom and excellent shower. Spectacular views over the river to Ingrandes. Finally breakfast was excellent. Great bread, croissants and pasties. Cheese, fruit, yoghurts, fresh orange juice and nicely prepared coffee. A simple Logis and easy to pass on by. But don’t. Stop and enjoy.

Unexpected Treat of a Logis Hotel/Restaurant on the Loire Velo

Excellent small hotel and restaurant with an excellent ratio quality/price. The room was newly refurbished and spic and span.  The restaurant menu was very good with generous servings and tasty food. I loved the cod, smoked and unsmoked, served with vegetables and a selection of tasty sauces. Super friendly service. Not to be missed!

Excellent value

Very clean modern room. Large comfortable bed. We didn’t have a river facing room, but looked over the garden which was still fine. 
Nice shower, large towels, and icy air conditioning. 
Dinner in the restaurant downstairs was delicious (and they had veggie options too, hurray) and breakfast was pretty good with homemade jams etc. 
There is a footpath along the river and pretty towns to explore locally.
Highly recommended.

Large, comfortable room, exceptionally clean and with lovely views.  Staff were excellent - friendly and efficient. Nice place to stop for a rest if travelling from Caen or Cherbourg to the south west.

Definitely eat in the restaurant - €18 menu du jour was excellent - choices aplenty and a great cheese selection included in this 4-course delight. Wines are reasonably priced too.

Great value and very pleasant stay

This small hotel, really a restaurant with rooms, was the perfect overnight stop.  Though quite a small room, the décor was clean and fresh, the bathroom seemed new, there was air conditioning, and a superb view of the Loire.  The staff were helpful, there was plenty of parking and a place for our bikes.

We had an excellent, reasonably priced dinner with house wine, and afterwards walked across the sandy beach to the river to watch the sunset.

Breakfast in the morning was equally good with plenty to chose from and lovely fresh fruit.  

Definitely recommended.

A fortunate find

Great little hotel with a great location overlooking the river Loire nice sized rooms with a kettle,quite rare for France ! The breakfast was one of the best we have had for a continental breakfast with lovely fresh fruit,cheese and ham bread and croissants.
There were 6 of us in classic cars which were parked outside and in view of our rooms,.
Finally we booked to eat in the resteraunt and the food was amazing beautifully presented and delicious ,strongly recommended. The welcome was warm and attentive too.

Only five rooms, but fantastic service and a great view over Loire river from our room:)
The rooms were clean and tidy, and the personnel was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is not included in the room rate but we had it and it was good traditional french breakfast.

Fantastic little Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights whilst completing the sections of the Loire Valley cycle route on either side of the hotel. We had lunch on the day we arrived and dinner each evening. All the meals were excellent and the menu du jour was particularly good value. Although the restaurant was busy, it seems very popular with the locals, the service was first class. Our room had a wonderful view over the river, it was spacious and well equipped - kettle, fridge, TV, wifi. We will definitely be staying again in future.

Terrific Value

You'll need the satnav to find it, but this is beautifully located facing the Loire in a quiet spot with a great view across to Ingrandes. Excellent room with quality shower, possibly the best breakfast I've had in France - no pantomime, just very high quality ingredients and no plastic packaging. That just leaves dinner: amazing value, with a range of fishy things but a strong set of menus priced by the number of courses and a fine cheese board. I liked it enough to plan it in as a stop on a future trip, or maybe a break in its own right.
