We stayed here on a family cycling holiday. We had a corner suite, which afforded truly breathtaking views to the Loire below. The owner was very friendly. It's a 15th century Manor, so our room had a four poster, wonderful old creaky floorboards and our own private entrance. The pool is a great size and set in the superb grounds. 

Incredible lodgings, hilltop location and view

The Fief is set in large grounds high on the banks of the Loire, with beautiful views. Its rooms (we were in the newly appointed annex) were large, spotlessly clean and well equipped.  The welcome, check-in and check-out were performed in a very friendly and professional manner.  Whilst we were traveling as a couple, I can imagine this place would be a very picturesque place for a function or a gathering of the clans, especially if the weather is good.
The region is famously rich in natural beauty, especially geared to cycling, walking and motoring. 
The town offers limited opportunities for eating out, but you can get good advice at the hotel on where to eat.
We only had one night there, but I suspect we will return for a longer stay.

Beautiful setting for this nice hotel

Four of us stayed in one of gites for a week whilst visiting friends in Montjean-Sur-Loire and it was lovely.
The old Monastery looks amazing and the gite we stayed in was perfect for us, as love to stay in and cook in the evenings. 
The views up the Loire are great as well being the highest spot in the area directly overlooking it.
Thiery & Marrie-anne are perfect hosts and their English is perfect, so no problem for those of us who can't master French!
The gite we stayed in was clean & tidy and very well equiped in the kitchen. 
The swimming pool was great too, especially if you could get it to yourself as it was a decent length, so you could manage 25 - 30m circuits.

Lovely relaxing French holiday on the Loire.

Magnificent views, even the address is "Bellevue" - it is located on a hilltop overlooking the Loire. The old manor is beautiful and has surprisingly spacious rooms (some are more renovated, some are less) with spacious bathrooms. Should have spent more time there just chilling out, they also have a pool area (which has seen better days I have to mention).

However, the location is very quiet in a very quiet village. We were there on Sunday, which unfortunately meant that our only dining option was pizza on church stairs. We were on bikes so it was a bit difficult to travel to next village. So make sure you secure a restaurant booking in advance.

Quiet village, quiet place, beautiful

From the beautiful property in its picturesque location overlooking the Loire River, to the warm and friendly hosts of the B&B, everything was perfect! The only thing I regretted was the fact that I did not stay there during the summer season when the outdoor pool would have been open.
