we left a review, using our usual pseudym.as is authorized by trip advisor, so as to maintain our privacy. the "host" in her intolerance for poor reviews published our name on this site without our authorization in our review 3 says ago, that we had to erase, in fact after 5 hours we left this nightmare of a place going to a nice cozy and safe place thank goodness. we mailed de place at midnight informing of our departure by taxi. the next day at 7:55 they "cancelled" on booking.com saying we never arrived, so  we couldn't evaluate despite much proof that we were there. they insist on charging and eliminating right to review. surprising! a first experience for us.  (now we understand inI part how they have ONLY 10 star reviews for this unglamorous ordinary suburban local, 24 min from the station,with,  at best, variable welcome. (the host does not welcome everyone well!!) rather than leaving a variety of evaluations as is the case even for world class 5 star hotels (which average 9/10) the host chose to publish our name. we had to erase our review and report here to maintain  our right for confidentiality and privacy. (our role as client is not public information that we publicize as is their role as bnb that they choose to publicize). this approach is indicative of the host's welcome. we chalked it up to a bad day for the "host" at first.but she seems quite intolerant of views other than those that consider her a marvelous host, which she absolutely was not in our case. option  not as reserved (we have proof which didn't concern her, but that was not dramatic) , and she was deeply u pleasant from the moment we arrived. she denies all she said (much of which we have proof of), and threatens to take us to court if we cite or share proof.  (by the way booking invited us to leave this evaluation here) . never ever had juch an experience in a hotel or bnb! presumably madam will again be on the attack and likely lacking forthrightedmess in her response, as an intimidation to remove our response. never before experienced!!

nightmare of an experience worst ever

We stayed one night as a stop gap on our journey as my partner works in France.
Josette was marvellous and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and happy.
We had a garden studio which was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed and little kitchenette to make drinks.
Nice desk to work at and Wi-Fi.
The bathroom had plenty of towels and again spotless !
The garden was lovely , I can imagine its great in the summer!
We had breakfast in the main house ,which was superb,the crockery cutlery was beautiful all presented first class. Fresh fruit salad, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt and egss cooked to your liking,plus Josettes home made jam !!!
We had such a good laugh with her too her personality is wonderful.
Josette even helped my partner pack a large brocante bottle he had bought, to take it home providing tape string etc.
The only down side for me personally, were all the steps as I have a bad back and my partner has a bad hip !
We are 60 !!
Apart from that it's fabulous !!!

Wonderful host spotlessmy clean

Through the blue/gray doors you'll enter this magnificent place, with carefully decorated and spacious rooms, a lovely garden, a delightful breakfast, and probably the most charming host in Melun. It was a memorable stay! 

Wow!

My husband and I stayed here in the middle of August.  We arrived right after leaving the Paris airport from an overnight flight and were treated so kindly by Marie Calude.  Our bedroom was spacious, the garden was beautiful, and the B&B was charming.  We wish we could have spent more than one night here, but we had a huge trip in front of us.  We highly recommend this B&B!

We spent one night here with our six month-old on our journey across France. It's beautiful, charming with a lovely courtyard garden and very comfortable. We would have happily stayed here another night.
The host and hostess were wonderful and very accommodating.

We booked this for one night only on our journey south but would have enjoyed a longer stay. Everything was perfect from our welcome to departure. The apartment within a beautiful building was spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and included home-made yoghourt and preserves. If you are visiting Melun, stay here.
