Chateau de La Faye

The lady in charge, Patricia, does a very good job - making people feel welcome, providing anything necessary – from cutlery to information - showing rooms available so you could choose what suits you best – outstanding. The rooms are huge and so are the bathrooms with a chimney (!, unfortunately not in use), a bath tub and a big shower Italian style and decent towels. Only thing missing – a hook for the towels. Everything is extremely clean and well looked after. The public area is enjoyable and well furnished. Breakfast is French standard with some cheese and ham; you choose from coffee, tea or chocolate, served in a friendly manner, again by Patricia. The only sore spot – although the castle is surrounded by very old trees and wonderful gardens, there is no place outside to sit and enjoy a drink and the scenery. Only one room comes with a balcony, some banks and tables outside would improve the site even further.
