We had a family skiing holiday in chalet C in Maribel village. The main  complaint is the really bad lack of facilities provided and the quality. No drying up towels, bath towels are minute and not changed. One toilet was broken , one shower was broken. Fridge did not shut. The chalet details did not say the pool was in another block (and quite cold). It is a real squeeze for 8 people to eat. And then they charge you euros 180 for cleaning before you leave but they do not have any cleaning tools! Location is great .

Badly equipped

We rented the cottage in July 2015. We liked the quietness of the place. The cottage was reasonable. Only two disadvantages: no washing machine and no garden furniture despite the beautiful terrace. The view is beautiful and clear. A small refreshment to the taste of the day's furniture would be a plus. We still had a very good stay in this cottage.

Manetso la Gittaz: Simple and functional

Arriving quite a bit after the high season, we didn't expect a lot of trouble with traffic and service in Merible. This was truly the case. The room and service was arranged quickly and without a hassle within minutes. Free buses going around merible also ease the stay considerably.

The room, while well equipped, did seem rather small and did not have a functional internet connection.

Cozy, good location

It was there back in 1992 and it's still good. Unique impressions of Swiss thoroughness and soulfulness. Great access to mountain trails.

We left on 23 June 2012 for 7 days (2 couples), arrived at the place, no one to receive us!!!! We call on a mobile number as indicated on the stay voucher, no one yet (the number was wrong!!!!!). We call the last resort directly to the booking center (very well about this). We are asked to wait and wait for him to call us back. Next time we contact us and we are given a phone number to contact an official.

Not serious.

Chalet was the one in photos with wood burner and red couch. Chalet was ok, 3-star at most, not the 4 star it was sold as. Chalet host was rubbish, did not clean, food was just about edible. Bedrooms and en-suite microscopic. I'm 5 foot 8 and my knees touched the wall when on toilet! Location good: 3 min walk to bus stop. Bus every 15 min. Free bus, 5 min to slopes. Meribel skiing and boarding fantastic (we are advanced boarders and skiers). We have been on all types of ski accom, 3 star to 5 star, catered and self catered. Would not go with Ski France again. Smaller companies have always provided better value.

I just saw a review for these chalets and had to write a review as it was totally inaccurate!

We stopped in the 12 person chalet - a 5 bedroom + a 6th cabin room. All with en suite.
All rooms were spacious and "yes" the cabin room was lower,  but grand. We put the children in this room. Its advertised as a cabin room, and we expected/planned.

We had 3 floors + basement - every floor had fantastic views of the valley and the sun terrace was huge! Great for a spot of lunch after a mornings skiing with the non-skiers in our party.

A short walk from the centre. 5 mins in normal walking boots, and an extra min or two with your ski boots on.

We had a couple of cars with us - there was also parking spaces right next to our chalet - perfect!

The lounge area was good and large - we could all sit quite comfortably after a little re arranging. The Kitchen was also well equipped. The Log fire set the scene and atmosphere after a days skiing. The private sauna in the basement was an extra special touch!

Don't worry if your travelling with children or babies and concerned you haven't enough clothing. There is also a washing machine in the basement also.

I would highly recommend these chalets for families and even young groups + non skiers. Meribel itself has some cracking bars, clubs and apre ski to die for!

Amazing stay, amazing views in the amazing Meribel, 3 Valleys!

We booked a 5 bed chalet in this complex with Madame Vacances (http://www.madamevacances.com/) which is a subsidiary of Ski France (http://www.skifrance.co.uk/) and Eurogroup. The description on their website stated that we would be in an individual newly built chalet (100-125 m2) complete with a basement sauna and washing facilities, American-style kitchen, log burner, 25m2 terrace, en-suite bathrooms to each room (including a Jacuzzi bath in one), the list goes on. The website even said that the entire complex had free wifi, which was important for me, with work to do during my school holidays.

To our shock the accommodation the company actually provided was firstly, nowhere near the location stated on the website, and secondly, it was completely unsuitable for a party of 10 adults. What should have been a chalet was in fact an incredibly cramped apartment; overlooking a car park in Meribel (the website had also stated that each room’s balcony had a mountain view). There was no wifi, no jacuzzi bath, no sauna, no washing machine, no huge terrace.

There was one bathroom to serve us all, plus a narrow shower room; this had a 24cm gap between the edge of the sink unit and the shower door to enter. We couldn’t fit everybody around the table in the dining area, and instead some people had to sit on the sofa to eat. The bedrooms were tiny; in some cases with only foam mattresses to sleep on (see attached pictures). The room I shared with 2 grown men had a sloped ceiling, meaning the only place we could stand up was in the velux window space, which mean us taking turns to get changed! The experience of spending 7 cramped nights has left me with back ache and neck cramp.

The boot room for ski equipment was full of junk, hence we had to store skis, poles etc inside the living area at night for safety.  I cannot believe that the company is able to pass off this apartment as the description given when booking. It is tired, dirty, cramped, and ruined our ski holiday.

On arrival, we raised the issue immediately with the local Ski France rep, who to his credit, communicated all of our issues to Madame Vacances and did all he could in his power, including giving us some of his own stock of wine (but was essentially a go-between). Madame Vacances themselves did not even bother to appear throughout the entire week, nor did they acknowledge that there was a problem. There has been no correspondence to us following the formal complaint we made last week, but incredibly they have now changed the website description to something more like what we were put in, but STILL the location of what they are selling is inaccurate.

I would urge anybody thinking of booking, or those with an existing booking to think again.
